Those are great photos. It looks like it will really be a great place when you get done remodeling. It also looks like a lot of work!! But I'm sure it will ge worth it when you are finally done.

Thanks for sharing the photos with us. I was very excited to see what it looked like.


Just finished cooking BBQ steaks on the grill. It is a late fathers day dinner for Greg. It is 95 outside, the grill reached 600 degrees in just a few minutes because of the outside heat too. The pool water is 89 degrees, just from sitting in the sun.

Morning everyone,

It will be quiet without Shell and Bill today.
It's going to be a scorcher out today. 95 plus humidity which puts us over 100. It may be too hot to even get in the pool today.

we are going to do a few things inside today, like shampo the carpet and furniture.

Hot again today. Greg is mowing the lawn at 7:30 a.m. Due to the heat.
I'll bet the neighbors love that.

Got all the carpets and furniture shampooed yesterday but had to stop and buy another machine, our quite on us 1/2 way through the job.

Today is the lawn and hose down the patio deck.
Then we will take a ride to the farmers market for some fruit and to wal mart for a few last minute things I need before our trip.

Hi all,
Spent the last few days at the hospital with my dad. Got a call on Thursday that he had a heart attack and was in congestive heart failure. He looked like crap when I got there...got a little better through the day...then did a cardiac cath on Friday....got a call at 2am Saturday that he was bleeding into his abdomen...moved to CICU...has had a total of 4 units of blood and other blood products to stop the bleeding.....the cause of it: ....they nicked something during the cardiac cath!! He seems to be stable with his blood count right now...getting ready to go back now....say some prayers for him--he will need them......

Woo and Mutt: hope you had a great time....
Wendy: Sorry to hear about the storms through your town:

Tell Josh he needs to post more often. I miss hearing from him.

Where is your DH at?? Last cruise he posted so great rowards the end of the wait time and said he liked it. But not one post this time.

A simple howdy once every couple of weeks will be just fine until the cruise gets closer, then I expect more posting from both of your men or it will be the whip for them!!

Kathy, send just a smidge of that heat our way! Our first couple days of summer have been cloudy and relatively cool (barely hitting the 70's). I'm sure we're in for another heat wave soon. . .

Hi Cheri,
boy I wish I could send you some of our heat. we have more than enough.

Today we took a drive to a wooded area to walk the dogs so Pixie could learn to heal on her leash..
We got out of the truck and walked about 100 feet and both the dogs pulled to run for shade. It was o hot we went right back to the truck and got in and turned the air conditioner on and everyone had water. I looked at my thermometer and it said 110.
No wonder it felt so hot we couldnt breathe.

At home it was only 95, thank goodness.

So PLEASE, take some of the heat!!

well this was a too quiet day around here today.
you folks have earned yourself another joke by not posting.

An atheist was taking a walk through the woods. "What majestic trees! What powerful rivers! What beautiful animals!" he said to himself. As he continued walking alongside the river he heard a rustling in the bushes.

Turning to look, he saw a 7 foot grizzly charging towards him. He ran as fast as he could up the path. Looking over his shoulder he saw that the bear was closing in on him. His heart was pumping frantically and he tried to run even faster. He tripped and fell on the ground. He rolled over to pick himself up but saw the bear raising his paw to take a swipe at him.

At that instant the atheist cried out: "Oh my God....!"

Time stopped.
The bear froze.
The forest was silent.

It was then that a bright light shone upon the man and a voice came out of the sky saying: "You deny my existence for all of these years, told others I didn't exist and even credit creation to a cosmic accident. Do you expect me to help you out of this predicament? Am I to count you as a believer?"

The atheist looked directly into the light and said: "It would be hypocritical of me to suddenly ask you to treat me as a Christian now, but perhaps, could you make the BEAR a Christian?"

"Very well," said the voice.

The light went out, and the sounds of the forest resumed.

And then the bear lowered his paw, bowed his head and spoke:

"Lord, bless this food which I am about to receive and for which I am truly thankful, Amen. "

6:00 am, just walked in the door. Our 4-1/2 hour layover in Atlanta turned into 10 1/2 hours, and the best we could get was to Cincinnati, which we arrived at midnight, got a rental car, and drove all night to get home. The clincher? Our luggage was already at the Akron airport when we finally got there about an hour ago. OK, time to sleep ... and take these #$*^& contacts out of my eyes. Will post more later.

so sorry you had such a tough time getting home, hope you feel better after a good nights sleep.
I glad they didnt loose your luggage. better late than never.



Well tomarrow my company will be here but not until about midnight, so it will be a long day Thursday for us. By the time we get home from the airport Greg will be lucky to get 4 hours sleep before getting up to go to work.
That late at night I wont drive that far by myself, so we are both going.

well off to see what kind of trouble I can find to get into.

Kathy - did I detect that tomorrow might be your Birthday (on the other board you posted that you don't cook on 6-27). Can't wait to hear all about your Carnival Cruise. We have never been on another line but DCL.

Today is another swim meet. Another day of storms predicted. *Sigh* But today's more complicated because I'm the parent volunteer in charge of managing the process of getting team and individual pictures of all the swimmers. The team has 130 kids on it and about half of them are doing individual shots starting at 3:30 p.m. today. Team photo is at 5. We don't have a rain date for a variety of reasons, so send some pixie dust my way to keep storms away at least during that period of time, but preferably until after the meet that should end at 8:30.

We are all starting to get pretty excited for our Maui trip - in single digit countdown now -- trying to wrap up some work stuff and make sure things are covered so I don't have to work too much on the beach.

Kathy, I asked for a bit of HEAT -- NOT all the humidity!!! Sure makes running an adventure. My "moisture-wicking" clothes have nowhere to wick the moisture!!!

Shell & Bill -- welcome back!! Too bad you had yet another airport adventure.

Jeff -- Try not to be tempted by pre-meet cocktails tonight!! Sounds like it will be quite an adventure. Hopefully it will all go smoothly. . Go Elizabeth!

Better get some work done here. . .then DD and I are off to the office to clean out the back room.
