Welcome newcomers! DH is working too much these days to keep up but I have been trying to read all the posts tonight. It is amazing how busy we all are.... Our group is growing so much that we will need the WED suite! This is Disney where dreams come true so why be practical? I with you Judy- suite all the way!

We're in room 2054, deck two right by the mid-ship elevators. We aren't planning to spend much time in it though, we'll be out at the pool, or in the arcade, or at the clubs, or.. well, anywhere!

I tried to post a picture of Luba and me, but my "post count must be 10 or greater". Maybe next week... My mom will be arriving in Boston from Minnesota on the 15th, so I'll try to post a picture of the three of us before we go to Florida anyways.

I hope your puppy feels better soon. The worst thing about the kids getting sick, is that you can't always kiss it better

Meet is on Saturday at 3pm. Haven't heard from DCL about a meeting place yet but I'll post it as soon as I hear from her. There is also a gift exchange if you want to participate. Teresa is coordinating that. It's very simple. Put a gift in, take one out. Average cost I believe is $5.00.

I checked out the site; it looks like there's going to be a bunch of little DIS kids in the 5-7 range. Nice to know that Luba will have plenty of co-conspirators...

WELCOME!!! Yes we are having a DIS Meet. Saturday at 3pm (is that right), place to be determined. We will be having a grab bag at the meet, if you are interested. If you bring a gift (around $5) you drop it in the bag and when you leave, you get to take a gift out. We did it on our last cruise and it was a lot of fun.

Thanks for the recommendation. I think we can definitely do grab bags! Who doesn't love presents?

We did the gift things once. I got little things for each day and made a tag saying to Jessica from a different character each day. We would set them outside the room or on the dresser for her to find. It was lots of fun.

We bring candy and we have some friends currently living on the ship so we bring them special presents. I can tell you that any type of candy, crackers, cookies are appreciated. A lot of them have cell phones that they can use in ports and not need to get off the ship so phone card are not as practical as they once were. But if you want the gift to go to a specific counselor make sure there is a tag on it with their name.


As for the meet check with love2travel (she is setting up the gift exchange) and lexandme (she is organizing the meet) I believe I have that correct, but if not someone correct me.

Thanks for the recommendation. I'll make sure to bring some note cards and a stash of goodies. The company I work for has an office in the Ukraine, and we have a "work exchange" program so people are always going back and forth. I have a pretty good sized hoard of Ukrainian chocolate, which is the best I've ever had... mmmm, Chernobyl chocolate... (kidding!) It's usually makes a good gift, because besides being tasty and sweet, it's not a common gift (unless you have buddies in the Ukraine!)

Okay, so this news wasn't as awesome as the news I had about Brianna yesterday, but it's still pretty good news for me.

I didn't quite catch what was going on with Brianna (I've got a lot of reading to do!) But, I'm glad everything worked out and that she's feeling better

I'm with you on the little victories! I made Luba try on about 20 outfits, but now her bags are packed, she's ready to go! It was really hard to whittle the shoe count down to 6 pairs, but really we just couldn't fit the others in there! I never realized girls need so many shoes! I think she gets it from her father, because she certainly doesn't get it from me!

Actually, she's not totally ready. I have to fix a button on her blouse. I'm just going to remove the bottom one, and use it to replace the missing one in the middle. I'm sure it'll be ok. And she has a sun dress that needs mending, but otherwise totally ready.


Well, another $25 went to disneyshopping.com tonight. But, I do need a bathing suit, and it *was* on sale... so were the flip flops, and the button-down shirt

Being practical is for wimps. I want to see you skip down the hallways and dance on deck!!!! After I make sure you have thrown all your "learned behaviors" overboard, you can come party in my WE Disney suite!!! If you promise me, I will have a very special FE surprise for you!!!

I'm counting down the time until I can call DCL. DH made it through the night without incident. No Chinese laundry. No visit to the proctologist. I felt sorry for him because he said his back hurt. But still no apology, insists I'm unreasonable.
22 days! 21 for those flying in the night before. 20 days until my first day off from work!

I almost forgot - I have been in contact with DCL re: the room on board for the DIS meet via email. I don't know if she would make the connection and research my number. I'm still waiting for her email. If I don't hear from her I'm contacting her again Friday.

Dry humor doesn't always translate well to the written word. I'm a child of a lawyer, so I get it. People always wonder why I grew up as "worst case scenario girl!!!" (insert super hero smiley here.) I was raised to look at things from all sides, get everything in writing, and read anything before signing.

Kenzie's at school, and Kenna is going between Nogin and Disney. Momma has some computer and scrapbooking time . Gotta work the weekend but then NO more weekends until after the cruise. In fact, I only have to work 10 more days between now and the trip. And I worked out my schedule so that I have 2 weeks off. The only disappointment is that I have to work Christmas EVE and Christmas Day. AND Kenzie figured it out

You're supposed to just click on the egg. My last one died. I wonder if this one did too?

I was trying to go to sleep last night when all of a sudden it hit me, we're just about 3 weeks away from our cruise!!!!!! Then I had a hard time getting to sleep trying to think of all the things I should be doing. While you are all putting your warm clothes away for the cruise, I need to find my cooler weather clothes. It can get nippy out on deck in November. But I can't find my long sleeve shirts!

When I clicked on it, it said that it had a funny soft spot on it. It also said that dragons don't come out until ready. So I won't see for another 5.26 days if it died. I never knew dragons were so high maintenance as virtual pets.

She then started looking through it and said she didn't have a few of the things I have and we both have exactly the same type of res. She said her's is missing the info on the hotel, the tip sheet, flight stuff and something else. She took mine home with her and compared them. Weird. So we are calling about them today to find out why.

Thats really wierd. It does not sound like they are real consistent. I know after our very first cruise, only about 1/2 of us received CC cards, and even they showed up at varying times. I just found it odd as to the irratic timing.
