11/22/08 Thanksgiving 2008 cruise thread. Double Dipping Travelling Turkeys!

Where is the Margaritaville in the Caymans? Is it a walk from the port or will we need to take a taxi? I mentioned to my DH that someone from the Dis (seadooken) was going. We looked it up on line and now he wants to go. There's a pool there with a slide!

It's a very short walk from the port. It's a really fun place, we went last year and had a great time. You might need a taxi when you leave, if you know what I mean. LOL

Jimmy was awesome, excellent weather, Jones Beach is a great venue to watch a concert.

It was the best way to bring summer to a close and even a better way to get ready for this trip. DD was a little bored but got over it quickly when Jimmy played the songs she recognized. The parrott heads were out in full regalia and DD was my little parakeet!

Good news about your DD!

We need to talk about Oct. 4th ( you too Teresa)..still on as far as I'm concerned.

Speaking of "Bus" - Teresa, there are new outlets opening near us tomorrow and Bettis will be there signing autographs. I took the day off to go!!

I'm guessing a few too many margaritas will make it hard to find your way. Though with my DD2 there, I won't be able to overindulge in drink. But I do plan on getting a Cheeseburger in Paradise. I am not a Buffett fan, but my DH is a huge parrothead. I'm just a fan of yummy margaritas and huge burgers.

Now you're going to see my dedication to our friendship! My 5K (first one ever...been really...REALLY looking forward to this!!!) was changed from Sept 6th to Oct 4th. I will not be participating because I need to see everyone before we go on our trip!!! How's that for dedication!!!

Doing over here about DD!! Even though I knew everything was going to be just fine. Now one more week until stitches are out and 2 more until she can do whatever she wants!!!

Just checking in down here. Fay is gone, Gustav is staring down our neighbor to the west, and Hannah has us in her sights.

I looked around and they are predicting hurricane force winds in Grand Cayman tommorow night. The track has them on the left side of the storm, which is good. Now Hannah, I have no idea where that is going. This is all starting to remind me of 2004.

Just checked the weather channel again. I'm not likin' either of these storms. I didn't know they had named Hanna until I saw Ken's post. (Had and Old English Sheepdog named Hanna. She was dumb as a stump.)

Hope all you folks in Florida stay safe. The weatherman last night said it is going to be a very very active hurricane season. Hopefully by the time the cruise rolls around they should all be gone. Who knows if we are going to have any ports to travel to.

I saw your thread about the names. They are beautiful. But I'm not sure what to do with one. I feel a bit stupid asking since obviously hundreds of other people are in the know.
