11/22/08 Thanksgiving 2008 cruise thread. Double Dipping Travelling Turkeys!

A 12 year old from N. Ireland! I'm sure you saying that will be one of his fondest memories! Our very good friends that did the last cruise with us and attended our vow renewal are from N. Ireland. The McGlones and McCrackens. What a trip that was. Crazy Irish! We tried talking them into coming this trip but neither were able to. Both families went back to Ireland over the summer and decided another trip was out of the question.

You guys that are doing pillow cases. What are you doing? I don't want to sound stupid but I will. That may be something I could consider for my DGS. Are they easy to do?

I am not the person you asked, but I am going to jump in. I think how easy they are depends on if you just want to buy one that looks cute, get a blank one and put a name on it in puffy paint, sew on it, or do an iron on for it. Of course it will depend on how handy you are at making those things.

Here is a picture of one that I made then turned in at the desk for signatures. this one has the signatures. Sorry if the picture is a bit large.

And just for fun here is a picture of a quilt I did. I did one half on one cruise and the other half on another cruise then sewed the two halfs together. It is not complete and quilted. Just throwing it up for another idea. We have also done the photmat frames.

As to Pillow cases, we do one every trip..this time Lisa got one embroidered w/Stitch from the same person from whom she bought the FE.

As to shoes, no, they actually fit in my suit carrier and all I bring are dock siders, dress shoes and the Nike airs that I will be wearing...although the tennis shoes are high end (from an outlet though), definitely not a shoe hog here.

Shell--yes, I do think Happy4Disney and I are neighbors. I guess we'll have to behave ourselves since someone from the DIS will know we're next door. It's my DH and DS that can get rowdy, so I'll threaten them before we leave.

Don't forget to email me if you want a final copy of the FE list with children's names and room numbers, etc. I still don't have Sinderelli's room number on it because I haven't heard back from them yet, but everything else should be finalized.

Sorry to bother everyone, but I now have everyone's room number on the FE list, so you'll have to email me one last time to get the final copy. The only one that the prior list should have been missing was Sinderelli's room number. If you don't email me, make sure you add their number--it's 6051. Have a good evening--it's been pouring down rain here all day long!

Once I saw everyone here was getting their rooms, I checked the DCL site and saw that the rooms next to me were open. So I had my friend travelling with us call her TA and have them moved next to us. So now they're in 7500 and we're in 7502. They don't connect, but they are right by each other.

I have two different embroidery machines and disks of embroidery designs. Both the quilt and the pillowcases are embroidered. I am working on a FE for my daughters friend right now as a matter of fact.

Last October I made a FE and something else in less than 10 days.
