Summer plans include a trip to ...where else...? Disney World. With the weather we're having up here it can't get here soon enough! We might try to hit up Universal (gasp!) Never been there so if anyone has any tips it would be great!

Kim..we were on the Nov 4-11 2006 cruise as well. I'm sure we'll get to meet this time around. I sense there will be a better "cruise meet" planning committee than the last time. Fortunately we did get to meet the others before and throughout the cruise. Now we're stuck with each other! (I wouldn't have it any other way!!)

How many more days???

SuzyMouse you need to finish your trip report from Nov. before you can keep posting on this thread. :rotfl2:

Summer plans, let's see.....preparing for my Disney Cruise in Nov., yes we are going Nov. 3-10th.

The Grand Canyon, that is some place I have always wanted to go, let us know how it is. Enjoy!

Suzy Mouse--my family loves Universal and Islands of Adventure. Gasp!:scared: I'll probably be in big trouble for saying that on the DIS, but we really do like both parks. The wind chill here today is 21, so I'm dreaming about being somewhere very, very warm right now!;)

Ok, a whole day with nobody posting. Unacceptable!

Is anyone working on planning their summer vacation? DH and I have Yellowstone, and the Grand Canyon left on our list before DH15 leaves home. I think this summer might be the Grand Canyon via Yellowstone. Who's been there? Do you have any must do's or travel tips?

Stacie--I just read in a magazine that the Grand Canyon now has some sort of a see through walk way that goes out over part of it. It's glass on the bottom. It looked pretty cool, but I'd be shaking in my shoes.;)

This is going to be our 1st cruise ever for all of us. We splurged on two adjoining rooms w/ verandahs. Now we're browsing the boards to help plan/budget the trip. Got any good ones?

GotDisney? (aka Kimi Anne - 35+ @ cruise time)

Also going:

Marc (DH - 35+ @ cruise time)
Laura (DD - 14 @ cruise time)
Marie (DD - 14 @ cruise time)
Ashley (DD - 12 @ cruise time)
Ian (DS - 11 @ cruise time)
Chase (DS - 09 @ cruise time)

:jumping1:

And now for the big shake-down to get in shape...(Thank God, I have over a year to be realistic!)

Welcome GotDisney?

Just surf the DIS boards and you will receive lots of tips and information.
If you have any specific questions just ask away :thumbsup2.

It's sunny and beautiful here too. Blue skies, beautiful fluffy clouds, buds on the trees, you'd never know looking out the window that it's only 19!
The Easter Bunny better have his long underwear on!!!

Lorie--I'll be sure to ask away if we decide to go. DH owns his own business and is notorious for coming home on a Friday and saying let's go on vacation next week. Maybe that's why I feel the need to pre-plan and over-plan our DCL vacations :confused3

Susan--I saw the walkway on one of the morning shows. DH is more scared of heights than me, so I usually look like the brave one even though I'm a big chicken. It better have a darn good railing!

Hey Turkeys!
I have alot to catch up on! This whole move thing is really cramping my DCL obsession time!

Just back from MA....we put an offer on a gorgeous house!! Now if the stars are aligned and inspections go well....we are all set!!

AHHHHHH:scared1:

I hope to catch up on the posts between calls to the mortgage company tomorrow!!

Hey Stacie and Susan! Susan---we loved Islands of Adventure, too! It's definitely for kids at least 6 or 7 and up. We would have gone there after the cruise but my DD is only 3 and I can only hang out in Dr Seuss land for so long. Ugh!:sad2: I can't wait till she's a little older and we can all go back! :goodvibes

Have any of you guys on the DIS Board been to the Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI? Huge resort with inside and outside waterparks? We're considering it for next spring break but I'd really like someone's opinion who has been there. Anybody???:confused3

Sima

Sima--We went to the Dells a couple of years ago on our way to Green Bay and Door County. We stayed at Chula Vista which was out of town a little bit. The Dells are REALLY crowdwd but fun, not sure what it's like on the "off season", we were there in the middle of summer. I know my friend stayed at a resort across the street (much ceaper) but were allowed access to the waterpark at the Wilderness. I'll ask her what the name of it was.

We think Andy is teething :scared1: he goes from laughing to screaming depending on the second, has bright red cheeks, and drool everywhere. Good thing I can type one-handed.

I'm a huge Dr. Suess fan, I have a feeling one of these days we're going to end up on "the other side".

Jackie--pixiedust: Pixie dust for the new house. We lost a house by 3 hours last spring, we still hex the people that bought it when we drive by.

Thanks, Stacie! Poor Andy...and you! I don't miss teething AT ALL!!! My DH thinks Wisconsin is just too far to fly to go to a waterpark. He may be right. We're just trying to think of somewhere we've never been. We may do Vegas again and leave DD with Nana!:thumbsup2 My DS LOVED Vegas more than we did!

On a serious note...I don't know how many of you heard about the lady preacher in Virginia who was murdered last week (Nancy Copin). She was a friend of mine...attended my church before she became the minister at the church in VA almost 2 years ago. Please pray for her family. :(

Sima

Sima--How far of a drive is Iowa? We have a couple of hotels with waterparks :) and I know we'll definately be home for Spring Break, I was the Girl Scout cookie cupboard this year from March 7-this week. Guess who wasn't home for the busiest part of that? The cookie mom that took over for me while I was gone has forbid me from leaving town next spring break.

:grouphug: We will pray for your family and the Copins.

Ok, I hate posting twice in a row but we were on page 3.

Susan and Sima--Did you guys have storms overnight? We are having SNOW!! The week we got back from the cruise it was 84 here and now there is 1" of snow on the ground. I guess the good thing is that no one can see that my grass needs mowed.

Stacie--we have just been having rain and rain and more rain! My students came back in from recess and said it was an "invasion of the worms" outside. They said worms were everywhere! It is cold and yucky here, and we have snow in the forecast for this weekend. Oh, how I wish I was back on the Magic!;)

Hi there, sorry I've not had a chance to do my part to keep us off of page three! I'm having computer problems at home and then today the server went down at work :badpc: It's a conspiracy to keep me off the DIS!

We're rainy here, with some tornado warnings to the north. The temps have been up and down so makes it hard to figure out what to wear to softball and soccer games. We have an open house scheduled for this weekend so hope the weather is nice for that.

Time to get back to the never ending job :laundy: I'm so ready to sail away.
Lorie
