I love finding stuff on sale. I'm getting excited cause we're slowing packing, finding summer stuff on sale which is perfect for the cruise and also slowly getting our FE gifts piled up too. This is going to be a lot of fun. This is the latest chart. I started adding excursions too. Let me know what you want to see on it and I'll be happy to add it.

You can add our excursions if you want but it's no biggie to us.

Nothing in Nassau. I MIGHT get off to find some rum cakes but might not.

DH and Nick will do the snorkel and the stingray things at CC. I might get to do the Stingray thing w/ them IF Daniel does well in Flounders. That remains to be seen.

On THAT note tho, he got an initial evaluation today and qualifies for the county program to help him catch up on his speech and social skills. He was very sweet tho for the ladies. It was actually shocking. He smiled! That is SUPER rare for him to do let alone to a stranger. AND he actually made his first mark w/ a crayon! It was on my WALL but it was his first mark w/ a crayon. So maybe just maybe, he might be ready for the nursery there. Crossing fingers. If not, momma and Daniel can enjoy the ocean and pools together.


On a non-Disney note: Nick's first week at school went better than any EVER. He ash come home each day saying that it's going to be the best year ever! He loves his teacher who he knew from after school math and reading programs and he says there are no kids in his class he doesn't like or that pick on him. I think THAT is the biggest coup for him. YAY!!!!! Such good things. I think we'll send his class a coconut by mail form the Poly again. His 1st grade class thought that was a hoot to get a coconut in no packaging by mail. The postman thought it was hilarious.

Is all the soft arguing on the DCL threads leaving anyone else w/ a bad taste in their mouth? It just seems like people are clamoring over each other to claim who is better than whom. Who should get what first? It sure makes me feel like a total peon being first time cruisers. I'm just stinkin' happy to be ABLE to cruise. It's been a long road for us. Something I brought up in another thread and was attacked for, so I won't talk about it anymore.

At first I had no clue what you were talking about. Went to the board & saw what it was.

On my first cruise I waited until the last minute & still got everything I wanted. If it's not available so what. It wasn't meant to be. Times sailed - cruises sailed doesn't really matter to me. The more I get to go on the more experiences I have. And, besides the first cruise all of the events were changed cause a hurricane came along & DCL had to change everything & still made our cruise the bomb.

Also, just remember some people are not happy unless they are complaining. So Disney gave them pixie dust by giving something to complain about.

We are a first time cruise as well all 12 of us!!! We are just as excited to go and happy. DH is finally getting excited. Not sure if we doing anything special in Nassua now. We kinda of spent our spending money when we had two extra family members move in with us and then DH was out of work for a month cuase of the mini stroke. So it's going to be an ok trip. Not like I excepted it to be. We will have to make do with what we have and just make the most of it. Kids a little upset that we not swimming with the dolphins so we will see and God will give us the time of our life.

So I went shopping last night to get some stuff for the house and I finally bought something for the trip. lol no don't laugh to hard. I bought new toothbrushed with cap for all 5 of us. I have been looking for some special FE but not having any luck. I'm not creative either. I would love to bring Old Bay, but I have no clue on how to get it there with out secruity taking it.

Now I have to go and read the boards to see what you all are talking about with people complaining....

Oh yeah 61 days for us and counting.... My DD 16 has a count down chart in her locker at school.

DH & I would love to go on the Panama repo, but I've wondered if we'd quite fit in (we're country folks, DH will probably still have his jeans/boots on) and don't get to wrapped up in how many cruises someone has done. This would be a dream trip for us and we'd like to go before the canal is widen for the super ships. If we can't book DCL, there's always other cruise lines.

We too do NOT fit what you might think of as a stereotype for that kinds of cruising. I go into med to high end stores and get ignored all the time. I just hope you don't NOT do something because you're afraid of not fitting in. I am one that worries about what others think all the time! I really do and it's sad. BUT I won't not do something that I wnat to w/ my family just because of that. I just don't look around at the glares I mght be getting. My hubby has a really good arsenal of glares he gives back when he sees them.
I think you guys and us would get along REALLY well! Everyone here sounds like salt of the Earth. My kind of people.

Don't worry we'll go if we can get a booking, I've already notified our TA. I just hope there are a few more like us and not just the ones arguing on how the tier structure should be.

When we originally bought into DVC we didn't know enough about the UY and started with a FEB UY, not a great idea for us since we normally travel in the Fall. Over the last year we've been buying & selling points to switch over to an AUG UY. We have a few more points we can sell of FEB points and I think we'll use the money to go on the Panama cruise.

I wish I could go w/ you. We'll be in WDW at the time we hope. And HOPEFULLY it will be our first trip HOME.

I'm sure you'll LOVE your repo if you can go. I doubt most of the complainers would be doing so if you could see their faces. And them some would. They are enjoying the anonymity of the internet right now. Do they really think the ship will sell out before they can get to the precious gold tiers? I'm sure everything they want will still be available. I don't even know the teirs since I can't see that part of the DCL site. It's the whole my house is bigger than yours, my car is better than yours, I spent more money than you did, me me me me. Settle down. Sure, I don't think what DCL did was exactly "fair" but I'm sure they thought of every angle and what they did made sense in a business and money point of view. Because in the end, it's all it boils down to. Disney is a business.

We too in upstate NY are getting excited for the cruise. Of course school has started along with band, soccer, and a multitude of other things which distracts us from thinking too much about vacation!! My hubby and my twin boys and I are all first time cruisers too. I have been reading those threads a lot lately and was pretty bummed to see all the complaints. I don't want it to make me concerned about the cruise. We are looking for relaxation, fun times, and good people to hang with. I think from all that you all have written, we'll be fine There are tons of complaints about the food! Hey, we don't care...we are gonna be on a Disney cruise!!!! The food is not my priority!

And, being first timers, we booked no excursions though we did rent some tubes at CC. Woo hoo! We really want to explore the ship. This trip is to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary and we just hate to leave the boys behind! We are going to WDW for 4 days prior so we are looking to r and r a bit when we get to the ship!

Cannot wait to meet you all!

Persuethekingdom/Mike: I need this noted on my FE for everyone wanting to participate and get something from me. I NEED to have all names by Oct. 13th. What I'm doing will require dry-time and that is ALL I'm telling about it so there! No, it's not a horse! LOL But there is a limit to how many I can do and they can't be ready if I don't have lead time.

I'm so STOKED! It's all I can do to keep from plunging in to start!

just booked a dolphin excurion for me and the oldest 3 on nassau. Told the kids that it's christmas or the dolphins. 3 of 'em went for it. Really looking forward to it.

On the spreadsheet all the names I have received I put on the chart. We're looking forward to the FE and what we have so far to give out.
