I love finding stuff on sale. I'm getting excited cause we're slowing packing, finding summer stuff on sale which is perfect for the cruise and also slowly getting our FE gifts piled up too. This is going to be a lot of fun. This is the latest chart. I started adding excursions too. Let me know what you want to see on it and I'll be happy to add it.

Woo hoo - just over 2 months now.......

Hi all,

My husband, our two kids (3 years old and 5 months old at the time of the cruise) will be on this cruise along with our friends and their 4 year old and 1 year old. We're doing a back-to-back and this 4-day is the first leg of our trip. Anybody else doing back-to-back this week?

Hey howdy hey!!!!!!! :wave::wave::wave: :jumping1:

I have a 9 year old and a will be 2 year old on the trip. So we have a good baby gammut between us. :goodvibes

No sorry, no back to back here. Flying home when we get off the ship. :guilty: But HOPEFULLY DVC owners that day so we look forward to going back SOON. :cloud9:

Hey Steph, have you picked which DVC resort?

I see you're looking forward to the 2011 DCL announcement too. Is it Friday yet? I'd love to be on the repo Panama Canal cruise, but with my luck it will be during our budget season at work and then I can't take 2 weeks off.

Are back to back cruises cheaper than doing a 7 night cruise?

Wow - back to back. I'd love to be able to do that.

I'm taking a sick day today to stay home and help with kids. But I do admit we are getting pumped about the cruise. We have a pile of stuff we're setting aside right now for the cruise. Most of which is FE gifts. This is gonna be fun.

For this particular week, yes, doing the two Wonder cruises back to back was about $200 cheaper than doing the 7-night on the Magic (for my family of 4).

The real reason we did it is that we get two stops at Castaway Cay. All of the Magic's "double dip" cruises are crazy expensive so this was a far cheaper way to get two stops at CC. We've done an Eastern and a Western on the Magic and really what we like best is the ship and CC so we figured we'd do back-to-back and just treat one of the Nassau days like an extra at-sea day and hang out on the ship while everyone else goes away. :)

Plus it's weird and silly and we haven't done it before.

Welcome Aboard!!!
Where is Mason NH?? DH and I live in Woodsville.

We did a back to back on the Magic a few years ago for our 10 year wedding anniversary... That was awesome. We only got off the ship at Castaway Cay. For All 5 of our past cruises we only got off at Castaway Cay. I don't care about the ports overly much. I love playing hard on at sea days and relaxing at the rainforest when the ship is in port.

We will be going for the AKVs. :goodvibes Hi-5!

I'm excited about the announcement tomorrow as well. I can see the logic of the guy that thinks the Dalmatian coast...BUT, I didn't wnat to say it there, whet's the difference between that and just the Mediterranean? Honestly? It's really the same area, Europe, and you could easily get to it by car if you got off in Rome...or anywhere in Europe. I had to look up where it was actually. So that just isn't an announcement I think of as exciting. Don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to cruise over in the Med. But it's all 2 place to me. And that place is not here. :rotfl: Hawaii is a massive opportunity to fill ships. Of course, that's my personal preference, but it also makes a lot of sense.
I'd love to do a Panama cuise as well!:cloud9: I can't see DH getting that time off either and it's be difficult to leave the kids (my mom would watch them) and can't take the oldest out of school for 2 weeks. Oh vell. Guess we're stuck in the Caribbean and at WDW. :rolleyes1 What a bummer. :rotfl:

I like how you think!:flower3:

P.S.
I started our FE and door decorations. :goodvibes We'll have a Nemo Theme. :thumbsup2 I made the seagulls saying "MINE!" to go on each pocket of the FE. I'm going to try and put crab claws coming from the inside of a port or two saying "heeeeey...heyyyy!" I love those crabs. All of my MAN harem :rotfl: will be turtles, I just wanted to be Dory. I didn't feel turtlish, I'm just amazingly Dory-like.:rolleyes1

We're about as far from you as is possible to be and still be in NH. We're on the Mass. border about 30 minutes west of Nashua.

The best thing about port days is that the pools are practically empty. I'm told that's especially true on the Wonder since there is only one port aside from CC so everybody gets off the boat.

We'll be at AKV for the week before the cruise so I'll let you know how we like our first stay. :yay:
YES! i'll want to hear all about it!
DANG! SO close! We would have booked AKL for our 2 nights before the cruise if we had been renting a car. We're only doing MK one day so we just went w/ a monorail resort since I'll have the toddler who will NOT last the whole day. ;) I'll wave from the Poly! I feel like I'm cheating on AKL. :rolleyes1

We're hoping the next NASA Shuttle launch goes off as scheduled on Nov 12th. If it looks like a go, then well drive over to Space Park to watch. :cool2:

Our first week at AKV before the cruise is adults only so it didn't matter so much where we stayed. Then we're testing the Treehouse Villas for 2 nights after the cruise.

Gotta go test out my new toy (Canon Powershot D10 camera) that came yesterday. I need to test it underwater and make sure it doesn't leak. :upsidedow

OOOO exciting! All of it! I hope the shuttle goes off on time for your sake. :thumbsup2 We saw it one evening from the Aladdin ride at MK. It was dark so we could all see it going up and up. Imagine our heads on a swivel as we went round and round on the ride watching the shuttle.:rotfl: It was really cool! Not as cool as seeing it from close up tho!
