11/15/09 Wonder

Hi, all!

I just booked this cruise yesterday for my Mom, myself, and DD9. This will be my 7th DCL cruise, DD's 5th, and my Mom's 2nd. The Florida Resident rates came out and we decided to take a "3 Generations" cruise before DD gets too old to miss many days of school. Her teacher has okayed the trip and will be sending some work ahead for her to do, so we're all good! My mom has MS and she's been up and down health-wise this year, but has been doing well lately, so we figured we'd go while she's feeling well.

I know we are too late to get in on the FE exchange (darn!), but I was wondering if anyone else might have a DD around my Gina's age that would be interested in them getting to know each other before the cruise. She'll probably be in the Lab a bit here and there when her Nanny and I do "Adults only" stuff, so having a buddy beforehand would be great!

We're really looking forward to this trip - The school year has just been so crazy so far (in addition to my elementary age DD who's in 4th grade, she has two older brothers, one in middle school in 6th grade and one in high school in 9th grade - Yikes!) and I really need a break! Less than three weeks to go ...

Welcome Rose! Lucky you booking last minute! I SO wish we could do that.
We have a DS Nicholas age of 9 and a half (that half part os SO important to them ) There are several kiddos her age in our group. Nick LOVES meeting new friends. He's very outgoing. He'll be in the lab a LOT I think. He's most excited about that.

I like for the FEs that we only have 3 decks to worry about. And they're all one on top of another. I know it's been mentioned a million times but MAN that stuff takes up space! Two carry-ons are full w/ that stuff, one will have to be my laptop, cameras, baby items etc., that leaves one carry-on for misc stuff we'll need until our luggage arrives in both our WDW resort and the cabin. MAN!
I picked up our ME tags, and cruise docs today! EXCITING! Found out too that the CC we were going to have on account just decided to cut out credit limit by $2500. Just because! Not for any late fees or ANYTHING. We have all of our stuff automatically paid. they hold our mortgage for Pete's sake. They can SEE how good we are...but still. pffft! ANGRY! THEN we called to complain they said "thanks for your opinion" and hung up! We weren't belligerent, we wanted an answer. Great. I hope I can sell a horse in time. Other wise... skimpy livin.

We have twin boys that are 10...Jason and Eric. We did not do the FE either this time as this is our first cruise but I have been very impressed with everyone else's efforts!

Oh! Good news! Abby's doccuments arrived safely to Florida. Her mom got the mail and put them away before Abby could see them. (phew!)
It would have been such a bummer if the suprise was blown like that!

Well, We can officially say our vacation begins NEXT week!

Good Evening all! Well the TA has our cruise documents. He is sending them to me in the mail. I should have them by Wednesday I hope.. I'm so excited. Been a busy day today. I really need to get some rest before the trip I don't see that happening. I'm always on the go go go. Non stop for us..


I guess this weekend I will finish packing DH and My stuff. lol and double check all the kids stuff. I know DD 16 needs to finish getting a few more cloths she is so slow at stuff. lol

Hey. Which days are you going to be in which parks? We'll only be in a park one day. MK on Saturday. I know it's a bad day to go but oh well. Can't wait!

Mom and I are working on the FE gifts and I'm so excited and my Aunt is working on our FE. Lovin Life right about now.

I'm not sure about the white board. I did think about post it notes. lol

14 Days and counting.. I finally got my cruise documents yesterday from the travel agent. Boy the look on DH face when I said look what is here!!! The kids got just as excited. this time in two weeks we will heading at the airport. I can not believe we have to be there at 6 am..

Well talk with you all later on. I have a relay for life meeting tonight. I can not believe I'm already starting Relay. Time sure does fly with that.. If you all don't know what Relay is, it's an overnight community event to help raise money for the American Cancer Society. It's is such a awesome time!!!

All my kids are getting excited about the lab and club.

We're having a belated birthday party for Nathan this weekend. We're starting with a sleepover with 2 friends tonight. I gotta tell you I am so impressed with my wife in raising nice boys. It becomes so obvious how polite and sharing my boys are when it others are not exhibiting it. Oh well - just a few hours then it's over. I'm curious how late they'll stay up tonight.


We got our crusie docs and to tell you the truth I'm more excited on getting the navigators from someone leaving on a 4 night this coming sunday. They said they will email 'em on the 8th. I guess knowing exactly what's coming up is what's really going to be exciting. I'll make sure to share

Happy Halloween everyone!

I just finish doing reverse Trick or Treating. I made up Treat Bags for our grandson, neices, newphew, and friends kids and delivered them this afternoon. We live in the country so we don't get any Trick or Treaters.

One week from tomorrow and we'll be on our way to WDW.

So far we've had 86 kids. We usually have over 100 if the weather is warmer. So I suppose it's pretty average. I was wondering if H1N1 would keep people away. Guess CANDY can lure everyone out!

Hope you all had fun this halloween night. My kids don't go trick or treating so this year we took them ice skating. oh what a night it turned out to be. my sister in law tried to be 20 again and try ice skating and low and behold she fell and broke her ankle. So I took her to the hospital and just got home a few hours ago. What a night.

I wish I had candy to dig into. I could get the bus kids' candy before they get it tomorrow, but nah I can not do that. Oh well no candy for me..

I'm getting a new camera for the trip I surely can not wait to go get it Sunday maybe. We will see. I have to get soon. It's a all in one camera. Shockproof, waterproof up to 10 ft.... freeze proof. It looks like a great camera, but I want to see it in person first.

Well got to run and get some sleep.. I have to help DH on the church bus route in the morning. We have the longest bus route in the church 2 hours. Yes I said 2 hours. We average between 30-40 kids a week..

I'm getting a new camera for the trip I surely can not wait to go get it Sunday maybe. We will see. I have to get soon. It's a all in one camera. Shockproof, waterproof up to 10 ft.... freeze proof. It looks like a great camera, but I want to see it in person first.

Are you getting the D10? I haven't used mine yet but when DH saw it, he said over and over it did NOT look like a camera that could go underwater!. Which was a good thing. The battery that comes w/ it is only 1 hour one Get a longer battery.

Is anyone else watching Disney movies constantly? I've been watching "Haunted Mansion" and "Enchanted" a few times a day EVERY DAY for weeks now. Well, I listen to them more than watching while I paint. I think they should make Gizelle from Enchanted one of the official princesses!

Olympus Stylus Tough 6000 Shockproof/Waterproof/Freezeproof Digital Camera (Blue) that is the camera I'm going to look at sometime today between church services. Yes we go back to church around 415 for choir practice and then church service at 6 just love it love it love it..


I'm not home long enough to watch movies. I wish I just had time to sit down and watch some. We have been so busy busy busy lately. I have to get to Pudgy's house to winteriz the boat. Oh no can not forget to do that..
