Good Morning, everyone!

Denise, you are BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD! lol.

Been to the gym and pool for a work out. Darn scale STILL hasn't moved.

Ok, off to be productive!

Happy day, all!

They listed our cruise today, with very respectable discounts! We went from a gty12 to a cat 6 for the same rate :cool1:. If you qualify PLEASE look into this. Our other option, besides doing nothing, would be to go with a cat 9 and get a nearly $1K OBC. So the rates must be super low and well worth re-booking since we are still 75+ days out.

Thank you KC for this post. I had stayed up that night until 3 am Monday to book our return leg of the Baltic sea cruise to ensure we got the schedule we needed with points.

Anyway I showed up on my TA's doorstep right when they opened at 8:30am. She was at her desk logging in. She DCL right away..I did lose our OBC for rebooking onboard the ship, but I did get $2300 credited back to my credit card. We still have the same 2 cabins:cool1::cool1: I do still have the OBC from the TA. So, besides pure exhaustion by this point b/c I had gotten up at 6 am with the kids, I was very excited. Took the kids to go meet their teachers that day and then collapsed at home.

I got them all of to school yesterday. I can't believe my baby is in kindergarten.

So, KC I owe you a drink onboard :thumbsup2 Plus when you had posted that, I had gone out on DCL website that night to see if they still had Cat 9 avail. When I just clicked on special offers FL res rates, November wasn't even showing. They must not have updated that page yet. So, I did a cruise search with the FL res code and then it appeared.

Gonna go and catch up on the last couple of pages I missed.
Hope everyone has a great morning

Owie, owie, owie! You might have to get him one of those donuts to sit on while on the cruise? If you do... make sure to put our logo on it! :rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Must be a resolution thing 'cause I'm seeing it clearly. What resolution are you using? Is there something specific you needed that I can get you the info on?

I had that problem for a while. You have to change something in your browser settings, but I can't for the life of me remember what it is. Well, now, wasn't I helpful?

I just wanted to pop on to say hi to everyone! From the looks of it I should have done so months ago. Anyhow, in an attempt to not have to weed through 168 pages of posts is there anything I definately need to know? This will be out third Disney cruise. Will be traveling with my DH and kids, DD Mackenzie (age 12, almost) and DS Austin (age 6). Thanks!

:welcome: My DD will be 11 on the cruise, so it sounds like yours and mine will be hanging out in the OQ together.

A couple of other things that Hypermommy didn't mention, if you are interested in the group brunch at Palo on Monday, PM glindamood. She is handling that for the group.

Also, elderfam is putting together lanyards for our group, so PM her with how many you want and the names.

Hope your (DH) feels better soon:thumbsup2

But now that you have him detained to the couch, no torture, like Oprah reruns or Housewives.:;)

My DVR is full of a years worth of Oprah and her sidekick, the Marcus Welby of the Century,DR. OZ. :lmao:

:lmao::lmao: He has been watching his 3 Stooges DVD collection and also his Mystery Science 3000 DVD's (those of you in the midwest may remember MST3k).

What?!?! He's not watching the DCL planning video over and over and over and over and over and over? I dunno about this guy! :scared1:

You have a big heart:wizard:
Throw in some Little Rascals episodes and he's all set.;)

Way to go Fivepin! So glad to hear that you beat the 75 day deadline AND got the same rooms. It's too bad more of our cruise-mates can't take advantage of these rates, as they almost seem affordable :rotfl:. I'm sure the savings take the sting out of losing the OBC for booking onboard.

Now that I know these rates come out about 3 months prior (for SOME sailings), I doubt I'll EVER wait 15 months for another crack at Mickey like we did this time (even for a DD).

Weird thing I just don't get is 2 visits to Castaway should be an immediate sellout. That's the best stop on the DCL that they offer.
I know, as a DVC member that was a big thing for member cruises.
Maybe before Turkey Day:3dglasses

But, IM happy for all that got their discounts.

We r gonna have a blast regardless:cool1::banana::dance3::cheer2:

Yes, we are going to have an absolute blast. It does make me a little jealous of the discounts - I am happy for you. Since we own DVC - doesn't that make me sort of a resident???

After the cruise on Saturday we'd like to stay somewhere near downtown Disney before heading home on Sunday. Does anyone have any ideas of what hotels are around there? And would let you book for one night only?

Ye, we are residents of the best entertainment & fun kingdom in the world.
Although and unfortunatly temporary.
If I had my choice, I would live in Space Mountain, then as my job I would be the engineer of the WDRR.
I would vacation at the beach, Blizzard and ride out the storms at Typhoon lagoon.
And spend evenings at Downtown Disney.
Wow, I can hear the tunes in my head now now, When You Wish Upon A Star!!!!
SOON we will all be hearing that Magical tune playing from the stack of the Disney Magic.
How lucky are we, no matter where we might reside:cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

If you want a Disney Resort I would recomend Boardwalk, But I think they might have a Dis resort closer to downtown.

We are staying 1 night, post cruise at the Wilderness Lodge. We just love that resort, but it's in the MK area.

How cute!! Now I'm getting inspired (well, I better be...if I'm going to finish my FE before November!) I like how the printable fabric turned out; I might have to try that! Thanks for sharing!

The closest resort to DTD is Saratoga springs, but that will cost you, since it's going to be studios and up rather than hotel rooms. For only one night, you might want to consider the Hilton or - what is it? Doubletree? On hotel blvd. Those are the two closest 'off site' hotels to DTD.

NICE FE! very nice.

Boy, THAT would be nice, wouldn't it?

I can remember the first time we cruised on DCL - it was back in 2000 and they had problems filling the ships so they had a "special". We stayed in a cat 6 for LESS POINTS than what I now book a cat 11 for. Something is sort of rotten in Denmark as the saying goes. But, I love my DVC and would not trade it for anything.

You all are doing so well with your FE's - it will make mine looks sort of lame but, it is what it is. Maybe I should think about changing some of the decorations on mine - that would be the ticket.

Since we own DVC - doesn't that make me sort of a resident???

Yep... since you own about 0.00000005% of the property you get a 0.00000005% discount on the cruise. Since Mickey's very busy these days I'll make it up to you with a DoD. That should be just about right money-wise, I'm thinking.

And spend evenings at Downtown Disney.

Sounds like quite a plan! Unfortunately, DTD isn't near as much fun as it used to be since they closed the Adventurer's Club. Boy, I'm missing that place!

Mom finished our FE tonight!!!

It looks phenomenal!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure you could see, but I decided to put a ribbon for each cruise with the year, ship and date. So far there are only two, but I bought a whole bolt of the ribbon as we intend to take many, many more cruises! :love:Hopefully every other year. That is about all my pocketbook can stand and still have a visit or two each year to see The Mouse.

Congrats to you FL residents! :cheer2:

Excell, I'm really surprised too, that Disney is discounting this cruise. I would have thought it would sell out also. You know, we lost alot of families on this cruise thread because of job losses and the economy. Sometimes with the everday stress of our jobs, we fail to recognize just how lucky we are that we are able to take this trip.:flower3: That said, I've got to get to work at this blankety-blank job!!:rotfl:
