I just wanted to let everyone know that if you are interested in going to Boatswain's Beach in Grand Cayman, they have a really good online deal. If you book online, $45.00 for Adults and $25.00 for Children you get 20% off your order, and they are providing Free Transportation to all cruise ship passengers from the Pier. Compared to Disneys prices this is a steal. The only difference is that it does not include lunch. In the past we have taken some food from room service to eat to save some money. We are going to book with them.

Thank you! :cool1: This is exactly what we planning. We just haven't bought ticket yet.

Has anyone done Boatswains before? If so, how long of an excursion is this? And, is it good for a 4 and 8 year-old? Trying to figure out what to do?

They listed our cruise today, with very respectable discounts! We went from a gty12 to a cat 6 for the same rate :cool1:. If you qualify PLEASE look into this. Our other option, besides doing nothing, would be to go with a cat 9 and get a nearly $1K OBC. So the rates must be super low and well worth re-booking since we are still 75+ days out.

Just checkin' in to say, "Hi!" The Rangers finally beat Tampa Bay, we've got the Main Street, USA loop playing on the computer and we're working on our FE! It's a good afternoon. :thumbsup2

Oh, and just saw KC's post! Hip-hip-hooray!!! You know, Mickey said if enough people went to the spreadsheet he'd take care of you. Sounds like we pulled it off for you!

Thanks KC, $1000.00 OBC, Your'e buying:rotfl:-LOL

Don't know enough about rebooking, so I would hate to chance it.

We originally got this to use as our FE, but then the creative bug bit. We're far enough along to know that our homemade one will work (woohoo!), so we thought we'd offer this one up to a good home if someone wants it. Just PM me and we'll get it in the mail to you.

WOW-I need to call my TA first thing tomorrow morning. I know I'll probably lose my rebooking OBC-right? I went online and put in our info same category cabin and it's a $2300 for both cabins. So, since I made final payment, would they have to cancel that reservation and rebook a new one? So worth it if I can do it.

I am staying up tonight to book our tixs for London for Baltic sea cruise. Booking via points with AA and return leg is available starting tomorrow.

oh yeah, IDK if its the same as Boatswain, but we are doing Stingray, Rum point and something else:confused: with MouseMom and another family. I believe its with NativeWay. Much better price then DCL, thats for sure:yay:

That other family would be us.

:thumbsup2 Great for you! :thumbsup2 But I'm so jealous...

Are you as excited about the CA residence discount when the Magic move to LA in 2011 as I am? Although not crazy about the Mexican cruises, but if the discount is awesome, I'd just go and stay on the ship!!!

I was just over on the Boatswain's website and did not see about the free transportation. Can you point me to where it said that?

Although, public bus is only a few dollars, It's a few block walk to the depot from the pier, and I am very slow. (That's how I'd get to 7-mile beach, too, if I was going there. Buses run about every 15 minutes in that direction)

Nativeway is a good company. My dh & the other husband in our party went with them to Stingray city in 2004 and had a blast!

I just want to take this time to thank all of you for such extensive use of the spreadsheet. Mickey is very, very happy. :rotfl2:

Don't know enough about rebooking, so I would hate to chance it.

I don't know how much a TA would help at this late date but I will never book a Disney trip on my own again. Well, wouldn't.... now I won't be taking trips to Disney... I'll just pop over for a few hours. :rotfl2: (isn't that just the icing on the cake of a new job!!) Anyway, but seriously, there's SOOOOO many decisions to be made and the very best part of all is that if you get the right agent (PM me and I'll let you know who I use .... it's not the one associated with this board and I don't want to be rude to them).. anyway, maybe all agents do this but I know mine keeps her eyes out for discounts and will hook us up with the discount wherever possible. King Charming got woke up yesterday morning with this news. Of course, it was like noon so she didn't call too early (hey... Sat night is poker night here and it's sacred.... I've even agreed to let him come back to Tally a couple of times a month for poker night). But it's soooooo comforting to know you've got someone on your side looking out for these things. We can concentrate on FEs and gifts and other plans... she'll watch the rates and let us know when something else comes out.

Not just DCL but any Disney trip, I'd always use a TA. Let someone else (who loves to do it) handle the phone calls and being on hold (although disney has great hold music) and all the checking every day to see if there's a better rate. I used to be one of those folks that figured I could do it all myself and didn't need an agent but now that I've done that route, I HIGHLY recommend it.

I absolutely agree. I use 2 - one for cruises because that was the first thing I used a TA for and I've had her for a friend for forever, and one, a former cast member, for trips to the World (who's also a friend.) Once, she happened to have a block booking available when I wanted to go - I was so pleased with my deal, I've used her ever since. Oh yeah, and then there's member services, for my dvc bookings. Confused? So am I

Happy Day, all!

Well, I managed to read thru the 12 pages you added while I was away for only 1 week. Next time, I'll have to try and check in so I don't miss anything.

Congrats Denise!!! Now we all know where we can crash when we want a quick getaway to Orlando!:rotfl::rotfl: I did manage to get my ADRs for the 3 day post-cruise visit. :cool1::cool1:

Have a great week everyone - my DH is still on one more week of vacation so we're off to the Water Park tomorrow....

Cheers,
Lisa

You're welcome to crash! It's been quite a week of good news for us. I just keep pinching myself. But don't tell KC... he'd love to pinch me!

Have fun at the water park!!
