You just had to warn her about me didn'tcha Lisa? Now she's gonna be to scared to go on this cruise. :rotfl2:

But seriously, welcome to Brooke and Tx Mom!!!! :grouphug: When you get a chance, please pop on over to http://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?key=pHBSMztVMA4chPeL1ExjMWQ&hl=en and fill out the information about your family so we can get you counted into all the fun stuff we have going on.

Hypermommy, its not that she has to be warned about you. Its just your funny side coming out. With you on the cruise it will be 1 big happy and yes funny DIS family :lmao:

Due to certain blackout dates at work I had to switch my cruise to the Oct 24 Eastern. I am so disappointed to not be joining you but thanks for everything...

Ahhh :sad1: , that's too bad!! You'll still have a terrific time - I'm sure you'll meet great people on your new Meets thread.

(Although they won't be as much fun as us :cool1: :cool1: !!)

You will surely be missed. :sad2: I hope you have a great time on your new cruise and meet wonderful people.:grouphug: Take care from your friends in N.C.:flower3: :wave2:

Hypermommy,
I see that your KC has admitted in his Pre-Trippie that he now suffers from DCL addiction (like the rest of us). Admitting that you have a problem is the first step...

Maybe you can use this affliction to book another one while on board?!?!?!!:lmao: :lmao:

 Hi everyone :wave2: O.K. Now I've done it . I went out and got some things for the FE's , and pulled out the stuff for pirate: night . I want to make sure we have enough . :thumbsup2 I am so ready for this cruise , it's a shame it's a whole year off : Time still ticking:banana:

Mc Monkey-never sure who is posting...:cool1: Now that is planning ahead!! Are you going to start packing ?? :rotfl2: Just kidding. We have stuff for the FE too-left over from last time.

Don't know if this means I'm one step closer or further from really being on this cruise... but, my DS and DSIL decided that they really couldn't pull their kids out of school for a whole week right before a holiday week (too big of a risk of exams, etc) so we decided to move the big family cruise to Jan 16. I was extremely upset at being vetoed - it was my reservation after all - and I was pouty about missing such a great itinerary, when it hit me: why can't I do both? Okay, there are reasons such as getting time off and having the money... but I'll deal with those later! :rotfl: So I talked to the TA and moved their reservations to Jan and kept one room on this fabulous Double Dip for me and a TBA person! :woohoo: So now I insanely have 4 future Disney cruises booked! Time to start eating Ramen noodles again like I did in college. :rotfl2:

This calls for jumping bananas...

OCD - when I first started reading your post I thought - oh no, another one bites the dust!!! However, I am glad that you have come to your senses and have decided stay on OUR fabulous Double Dip!! Besides who knows when it will come around again?!?!?!

Nothing wrong with Ramen noodles - a little belt tightening does us all good in these difficult times (besides, I figure the more $$$ I save, the more $$$ I can spend on OUR ship!!):rotfl: :rotfl:

Cheers,

Kimberly SO glad you are staying put. Tp bad for your family, they will miss out on meeting all us cool people! Wow 4 cruises, I think Mc D's still has their dollar menu...:dance3:

It's a little early for this. Like a whole year early. So I am dooooomed.
I had a dream last night that no one would give us navigators or talk to us about things going on, on the ship. They wouldn't even explain our dinner rotations. OR let me have my Palo ressies I got with the romance package. I was so upset that noone would listen to me! Then, thank God, I woke up. Thinking What the %%*& was that about? Is it right to say I'm a little anxiety ridden about this cruise?:confused3

Okay, I think my OCD definately kicked in full steam today. After I got off the phone with the travel agent and knew that everything was set with the new cruise (and then posted here to tell :goodvibes ) then I spent the last 3 hours "perfecting" a family cruise logo for us so I can add to my signature. :rotfl: I've got to get a life outside of Disney...

I had a dream last night ......

ACCKKK!!!!! I had a dream last night too!! Probably from reading your post. :confused3 We were on the ship as it backed up(?) into Port Canaveral so that the rest of the people could board. My DDs were wearing the strangest clothes and I kept saying over and over "But we have to change into our matching t-shirts!":rotfl: We then proceeded to go into the terminal to check in and my husband had his bicycle(?) and he got upset when he dropped it.

I know, I know, my brain is just a little scrambled. I think I need some caffeine..... Have a great day everyone!!

I just had to share and I knew y'all would understand! Mom and I made an offer that was accepted for DVC points at SSR!!!! We just have to wait the 30 days for Disney's right of refusal process, then make it through closing! We're almost members!!! Check out the new ticker!

Congrats OCD! What is your secret? You are sooo lucky! DH and I both have good jobs and only one DD(6) and it is a struggle to pay all the bills and budget for one vacation a year! LOL! What ever you are doing keep it up! Life is too short and unpredictable to not live each day like it's your last!

Okay, this is not really the actual answer because I'm at an unusual point in my life. I've been a pharmacist at a children's hospital for the last 9 years doing pretty well for myself with no children and luckily no college debt (THANK YOU MOM & DAD :worship: ). So when I got really frustrated this past summer at the way things were going at the hospital (had been at the breaking point for 2-3 years) and knowing that things were not going to change, I refinanced my house, took the equity out, and quit my job. So actually I can't keep up doing what I'm doing now because I've been having the time of my life and procrastinating on getting another job. :rolleyes1

So everytime I tell my mother I've booked another cruise she just keeps reminding me that I can't pay for these until I get another job. Yes, I know... I am looking :surfweb: but there are so many distractions around the house. :happytv: I'm reaching the end of where I said I was going to take a break though so I am serious about getting a job - I just really got off track with the whole DCL announcement of the 2010 itineraries. I had to go visit my new cruising buddy in San Francisco (I met her on my Panama Canal cruise) to discuss our options before we booked. :lmao:

So that's my longwinded, doesn't really explain it, answer.

But look at how much fun I'm having while I'm procrastinating... (wine country while visiting cruising friends!)

Wow OCD!! It took great courage to make such a big change!! I think lots of people given the opportunity would probably do the same thing!!

Why not take a break if you are able?!?!?!? And if you get to travel as well, that's an awesome bonus!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

Cheers,

Hey Binky1!

just noticed you are a fellow Canadian. Are you worried about our dropping dollar as much as I am? When we sailed in Nov2007 we paid about 20% exchange but the way things are going we may well be close to 60 cents on the dollar! That is SCARY! :scared1: Let's hope things are much better by August 2009 when we have to pay the remaining balance or we may be doing an all inclusive vacation instead!:scared1:

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: YUP!!!
My DH was saying last night that with the exchange our cruise could end up costing us $1K more. I then said "Yes, but the cost of the cruise has already gone up almost that much since we booked it...." He laughed and said "Thank god you're not in charge of the economy with your creative math skills!!!":rotfl:

Sure, I'm worried but we won't be changing our plans - DCL'07 was the best vacation we ever had and I can't wait until '09.

Cheers,
