Happy New Year! We can all officailly say we are going on a cruise this year! Feels good.

It has been pretty quiet at our house the last few days. Drew has already left to visit with a friend and then he will just head back to school on Sunday. Ben and Kristie spent the New Year in Chicago and they are not coming home until tomorrow so that leaves just DH and the middle child but they will head back to Grand Rapids tomorrow as it should be a good travel day for them.

Tree is still up - if anyone is home to help tonight, I may try to get the ornaments off, although I can do that part pretty much by myself, the lights I refuse to tackle (a what a tangled web was woven). This is the saddest part of the holiday - putting it all away. It just goes too fast. Odd comment from someone that want time to fly to November isn't it???

We were out shopping today and kept thinking, "Oh, we need this for the cruise" and "Wow! That would be great to give in fish extenders." I don't know if my pocket can handle another 10 1/2 months!

We were out shopping today and kept thinking, "Oh, we need this for the cruise" and "Wow! That would be great to give in fish extenders." I don't know if my pocket can handle another 10 1/2 months!

My closet is full of "stuff" for the cruise...none of it clothes by the way! Did you find any must haves? Dying to find out if I need to go out for something else to add to the Rubbermaids...seriously though, I could be ready in an hour if I needed! That's what all this planning does for you huh?

I had a question. Are the FE's for the kids and the adults or just the kids? I was reading some reports that adults also get things in the FE's. If so what do we get? Please let me know.

Hey sandiegosusie - haven't seen you in a while - Happy New Year!!

Kim, pretty sure the FEs are for both grownups and kids but it's totally up to the givers I guess.... (Some of the ideas I've seen are CDs, something from your home state, etc.)

Santa brought my youngest DD a Mickey Mouse clubhouse playdough set and there is a Mickey Mouse ears cookie cutter in it. I think I'm going to do something crafty for the adults. I've already started my suggestions list (of course, it's in the same document as our daily schedule and packing list!!)

I've been lurking over the holidays, mostly because I haven't had the time to respond...I'm back...in full force, ready to plan and obsess like only a diser can do! Taking my youngest DD and DH to DL on Friday for my birthday. Cashing in on the new Fun Card for my birthday since I'm an annual passholder. Thought I would buy some goodies for our cruise! Any suggestions? A few pins perhaps and maybe a shirt or two...

I'm feeling a little blue that my Dolphins are out of the playoffs but overall it's been a great season. So I thought, what would cheer me up is to start thinking about the cruise instead...

I am sorry to hear about your team...the Chargers pulled it off in OT last night and I am a happy girl today. Born and raised yellow and blue! Anyhoo, cruise planning will help with anything.

The adults will all be getting the same thing but I think I will break it down for the kids - teens vs. kids, girls vs. boys. Can't wait to see what kind of spreadsheet Hypermommy comes up with once everybody puts their info in it!!

I will probably ship down a box beforehand because we plan on hitting the parks prior to our cruise and I don't want to be lugging FE gifts everywhere!!

We are hitting MK on Friday...have you made lodging arrangements yet? I'm just starting on that one. Not sure if we are staying onsite, usually we do but honestly, the resorts have been on the dirty side for our past two trips. Not impressed for what I'm paying, you know what I mean...do you know how to get into the spreadsheet to get a count for FE's? I can't remember how to access it...

Sorry - the only thing I found that I absolutely couldn't live without must remain a secret! At least until you find it in your FE!

No, we haven't booked anything yet. The plan is to fly down on the 11th, probably stay at POFQ for 2 nights, take ME back to MCO for the night on the 13th and stay at the Hyatt with my BIL & his family (cause they are getting in late) and then we have a 10 passenger van rental to take us all to port. (cheaper than DCL transfers)

Have to wait for flight stuff to come out (Westjet doesn't have Nov 2009 available yet) to see how we are going to get down to Orlando.

Re: the spreadsheet stuff - the site is on Post 375 and then results on Post 401 - I don't think Hypermommy has updated them yet 'cause people have been kinda slow in filling out the info.

We will also be at MK on fri the 13th...Cue scary music. We are flying in thurs and staying at CBR for 2 nights. Using DCL transfers.

Hypa, where are ya?? I do think a spreadsheet update would be helpful. I like the website but it does not have all the info the spreadsheet did.

My annual pass expired in November so I wanted to see if I can apply the "birthday free ticket" toward the cost of a new annual pass... Have fun shopping with your Fun Card!
