11/14/09 - Special Western - 2 CC stops PART2

Good morning everyone! The MiniNav looks great, but I think I am the only one who does not know how to put it together correctly once I print it out. What is the secret? :confused3

For me, I printed it in color, two sided, and selected "flip on short side." This makes it so the right pages are front to back.

I printed mine normally, then cut the pages in half & staples them together. I can't do double sided printing on my printer, so I cheated.

 I had NO idea that double sided printing was even possible! I guess it will be scissors and staples for me!

If you are up for a challenge, you can swap the paper yourself. Just practice in black and white first. I do it a lot at home when I have multiple pages to print.

That's what I did. I print one page at a time, flipping it over one at a time.

That's what I did too. Worked like a charm.

Where will we be 1 week from today? Today's answer - Epcot, World Showcase doing Kim Possible missions. Tom & Becky have birthday/anniversary dinner at Shula's, girls going to Camp Dolphin.

Lots of packing completed yesterday. It's my first time using the packing cubes and I really like them. It really helps to organize everything and by rolling the clothes I can fit a lot more in the same space. I used a Pack It Flat Folder for all my collared camp shirts. Loved that too. Then it dawned on me that I forgot to leave out the shirt that I'm going to wear on Wednesday when we fly down. Doh! :rolleyes1

Mini navigators...

I just want to remind everyone that due to donations :goodvibesfrom our fellow shipmates, I have been able to print one per stateroom! They will be available when you pick up your lanyards. Hope this helps...

I plan on wearing a lime green top and sitting near the TV across from the giant Mickey ears. I have very short hair and Harry Potter eyeglasses...don't think I will be to hard to find. ( WOW, I sound like a Dork!...Maybe my daughters are right...I left "cool" back in the '80's!!)

See you SOON:wizard:

Cynthia,

Thank you for all the work you have put into this cruise. Michelle and I really do appreciate you!!

A week from today will be a sea day for me - rest and relaxation wil be on tap.

Packing cubes - I can easily get over the weight limit without any "aids" so I don't use them. I am fearful now that one if over 50 lbs but tomorrow we shall see - PakMail will weigh them for me. If they are at least in the low 40's - I will hae saved myself $50! Gotta love that.

We won't be in the terminal so I plan on seein you at the meet. LOVE THEM by the way!

Well - the travelers checks are purchased. And, if I behave, nothing will go on my credit card (well, unless we book another trip that is) so I should be golden.

Take care everyone and have a nice afternoon.

Hi all-
I have a favor to ask. As some of you know, my DH and I will be renewing our vows onboard on Thurs. It will just be my DH, DS, DD and I. We will have a DCL photographer. But I was wondering if anyone could help us out and either videotape or take some extra pictures for us. It will be on Thurs (at sea day) at 4pm. It will probably be about 30 - 45 mins. I have the videocamera or camera. Your family would be welcome to join is if they would like and we could pay like $50. Is there anyone that could please help us out? We would really appreciate it. Thanks!
-Virginia

I could help out. I can see if anyone else in my group can lend a hand. Pm if u need us. What kind of camera do u have. Mine uses a Compact Flash card. :hippie:

So I have put my trust in the Canadian Postal Service and sent my box of FE gifts off today. Delivery guaranteed for next Tuesday.....It was still cheaper than paying for another bag. There is a tracking # so I can keep track of it (not that it would do any good if it went elsewhere anyways....). I am packing my SM gifts and the FEs in my luggage however - 'cause if they went missing I would be very upset.:eek:

Have started organizing the clothing. And am busy printing off magnets.

Any Canadian cruisers - identify yourself - I have a little giftie I want to slap on your door....

Have a great rest of the day everyone!!

I am sure that DH would be willing to help out if needed as well.

Virginia, you're going to have so many cameras you'll be covered from every angle! I'd do it too, lol.

Safe and sound in Jacksonville, where we finally found sunshine and temperatures higher than 50!

And you're nice enough to give it to him? Awwwww, how sweet. Don't let KC know that's what a good wife does. Don't want to spoil him, you know. :rotfl2::rotfl2:

That's how he relaxes from the road. We have a routine - it's helped us stay married for 40 years, lol.

If your printer takes the paper straight through - ie loads on the back comes out the front -try this

* when you click print and the window opens where you can set the printing properties, down on the left you'll see a thing that says something like "Print whole document" . If you click that it will drop down two choices print odd pages and print even pages.

*Click print even pages. Let it print completely. Pick up the whole stack.

*DO NOT TURN IT or reorder it. Put it back in the paper tray blank side up. click print odd pages. And it will come out two sided. Then simply fold in the middle and it should be properly ordered.

My DH said he would be glad to help out. Me, too. Let us know.

I just wanted to let you know that you inspired me to buy packing cubes at Target on Sunday. I tried one out yesterday as I ironed all the boys shirts and pants (like that it going to work :rotfl:) and they are pretty nifty. There may be hope for all the FEs I need to pack.

On the two whirlwind days we are at WDW next week the boys really want to do the Kim Possible Mission. The kids maybe can compare notes on the Magic on their fun.

We did the Kim Possible in July. It really is alot of fun! We didn't get to do all the countries, so we're hoping to do the rest this next trip. Have fun! United Kingdom was the most fun!

Being such an organized packer to begin with, I was skeptical about whether packing cubes would be worth it. After packing them, I think that they are worth it. I like how they compartmentalize things in your suitcase and they do make packing easier. I have 3 cubes that are each filled with 1 complete outfit for me and the girls (DH was not interested in using them, so his loss) and I will put 1 in each of our 3 suitcases. That way, if one suitcase is lost, that unfortunate person will have 2 other outfits in the other suitcases to tide them over until the wandering suitcase shows up. The rest of the cubes I just filled with each person's clothing. They are all stacked up in the dining room now, so I don't have to contend with lots of open suitcases scattered all over the floor for a few days before we leave. I've been using the skinny ones for all our electronic paraphernalia and other miscellaneous stuff that tends to get shoved helter-skelter into the suitcases and carryons.

We're excited about doing the Kim Possible missions. The girls love doing these kind of scavenger hunts.

Linda, glad the first leg of trip went well. Will you make it to Orlando tomorrow?
