Hello everyone! Just sent to board by friend cruising next year. First time on Magic, cruised Wonder 9/00 4 day, with WDW Dolphin stay. 3 kids, 6, 10, 13 - the 13 year old (girl) is worried about meeting friends. Can't wait to go - must be other Jersey folks taking advantage of teachers convention!

There's a good many of us taking advantage of the NJ Teacher Convention. Last year it was almost comical to listen to the CM's announce the guest onto the ship. It was as if NJ had taken over the ship. Many performers added the NJ joke into their routines.

You kids will have no problem finding kids their age. This is the thread that has been ongoing for the people sailing on the same cruise:

There's a DISmeet scheduled for 5:00 Saturday on Deck 7 Aft and we still need to agree on a time for one on Saturday. Masonpips has been amazing at keeping us all up to date with a spread sheet listing all the DIS board families aboard. You might want to contact her at cotchdc_99@yahoo.com and see if it is possible to have you added on the list.

We've all picked up lime green Mickey chips from Home Depot and have made pins or something to identify ourselves to the others.

All my clothes are packed. I did it this early last year and no wrinkles at all. Just fold tight and if you use the plastic bags it won't be an issue.

It's getting close I can't wait!

I thought I would look for everyone and here you are! We are also very excited!!!

DS is packed!!! Did the ziplock trick last year and did it again for this trip. We will pack this weekend and wait until next Thursday to come for the flight! My DH has converted his personal countdown at work to hours. I like the number of days countdown better-a much smaller number- single digits now!

Packed but still overwhelmed. Can't even type properly as you can see above. Meant to say we haven't set a time for the DIS meet on SUNDAY! I need to slow down and actually read what I type.

We have so much to get done in regular life before the cruise. Being anal retentive if I didn't get this done I wouldn't be able to function. Not even going to admit how many bags I have packed for a family of 5.

I really can't believe it is almost here.
I have a Halloween party at my home on Sat since the girls are missing Halloween with their friends, a babyshower on Sunday,conferences on Monday adn we fly out Tuesday. Not to mention my various PRO duties between now and Sat. I am not sure when i will get it all done but I WILL.LOL
Glad to hear you are a big packer too. our last cruise we took 10+ bags and a stroller. What a joy...

Yikes! I can't believe you guys are packed already! How do you find the time? I can just see myself the day before we leave trying to get all the laundry, packing, and shopping done. Oh well, what is a vacation without a little pre-vacation stress?

Let me join the pre-vacation totally-stressed-out list. I'm in a 3 day meeting right now (they're in breakout sessions so I'm sneaking in), have a hair appt tonight; need to finish DS's costume tomorrow night, have a Halloween party for the kids on Friday (and DD has a bday party that overlaps to attend), Sat is soccer and DS's school party (at night), Sunday DS has a bday party (WHAT is up with all these birthdays?) and I'm teaching a class Tues/Wed, have soccer practice Tues night and we leave Thursday.

WHEN am I going to pack?? Actually I'm starting Saturday a.m., will buy last-minute stuff on Sunday while DS is at the party and then finish up Mon/Wed nights.

OMG! Time might just be going TOO fast right now.

P.S. I *will* get the spreadsheet updated and sent out - I promise!!!

I've been packed for the past 2 weeks, so please people, don't mind the wrinkles. I've done the zip and unzip shuffle I can't tell you how many times. I put everything in my suitcase and it zipped, without even sitting on it (hmm, I might be able to squeeze a few more things in). I of course unzipped it and took out my formal/semi clothes so the wouldn't get too wrinkled. I'll put them back in next week.
