11:07 PM Flight and DME

I was just about to book my flight on-line when dh asked, "Does DME run that late?" Our Delta flight is scheduled to arrive at 11:07 PM on a Thursday evening. I just checked the Disney site, and it says 6 am - 11 pm with evidently some accomodations. Has anyone been able to fly in after 11 and use DME. What were your experiences?

We arrived at 11:30 p.m. on 6/3 and ME was not only operating, there were quite a few people using it. However, we did not arrive at Pop until 1:30. We sat on the bus and waited and waited, maybe more people were expected, but no one ever showed. And we had the world's slowest driver; I doubt she was doing 40 mph on the freeway.

The "normal" DME from the airport runs until around 10:30 (11:00 PM now?) but they track later arriving flights in order to serve all guests with reservations. The difficult part is confirming that Disney has your reservation and flight number because written confirmations don't always arrive. When making your DME reservation, especially for late late evening arrival, at least get the name of the person you talk to and request a written confirmation.

Haven't used DME or confirmed this but I would not be surprised if late arriving DME guests are combined with Mears' (DME's drivers) regular guests during very slack hours.

We scheduled our DME pick-up. No problems. The CM who helped dh said that it looked as if we wouldn't have much, if any, wait on the Thursday night we're flying into Orlando. Keep your fingers crossed for us! Of course, 11 pm will only feel like 10 to us (We live in the Central Time Zone.); and we only have an hour long flight. So it's not like we're going to be exhausted or anything. It really won't matter if we have to wait a little bit. We are so excited to be trying this out!!
