Hello all,

As I've posted before, we weren't 100% sure we were going on the cruise, because of our dear friends little boy who has leukemia.

Fortunately for the family, our little friend has been holding on, and his family are able to make precious memories with him every day. So we're not going on the cruise, since it's just not the right time.

Anyone doing the FE gift exchange, please take us off your list (we were on the b2b 11/6 and 11/10 cruises). I'll send out an email too from Tammy's final lists. (thanks again Tammy for organizing all of it).

Working on our magnets today. Have to find somewhere to print them as my ink ran out and my printer stinks anyway!

2 weeks and I can't wait. Wife thinks I'm nuts!

Packing has commenced as well.

My coworkers are tired of hearing about what I'll be doing while they are stuck at work!

Can't wait to see everyone and finally get some relaxation time.

Well, took my supplies to work yesterday to use the office laminator...and I broke it! Well, it broke and ate one of my signs. So I'm off to the Fed Ex office store to laminate the remainder...wonder what they'll charge since I have my own 'sheets'?

Updated my shopping list for trip stuff and 2 weeks worth of household supplies and will do that errand this weekend. Will also organize and address finances for bill paying etc.

Bought a $300 OBC for this cruise since I will have some Cabana expenses to contribute to. REALLY looking forward to that! (And 'buying' that in advance of the cruise with my Disney Visa means it qualifies for 0%/6Mos interest.)

Held mail delivery, notified bank/cc company of travel plans, reconfirmed my shuttle arrangements (good thing, last e-mail with them had the wrong pick up time at the airport!)

Organized my Disney jewelry for packing. Yes, different jewelry on a Disney vacation. Discovered I need a new MICKEY WATCH, will keep my eyes open for one while I shop this weekend.

Trying to make sure NEXT weekend is not a procrastinator's nightmare. Just want to deal with pedicure/haircut & color/laundry and loading some stuff into the suitcase. We'll see how that goes!

I am wondering what I can get away with for taking on as a "personal bag", that would fit under the seat if need be. What is the largest "personal bag" you have ever taken on a flight, besides your carry on?

(Now I am staring at my sandals and crocs that I wish I could fit in an extra bag !)

We usually have one carry-on just for boots/shoes (DH can't go without his cowboy boots) and I usually have our big DVC bag for all the misc. stuff and papers.

I'm so jealous of all of you with cabanas. They were all booked up before us newbies could reserve them. That is the only thing I wanted that I couldn't get though so I really can't complain

I think the errands for today are done.

Clothing is at the dry cleaners.

I dragged out the suitcases. The packing right now consist of me tossing things into the bag as I remember them.

I'm glad some of you started talking about door signs, because it triggered me to toss them into the bag, along with the sticky magnetic "tape" and a small pair of scissors.

Tomorrow I'll start the delightful task of draining batteries so that I can recharge them.

Got my errands done today. Just need to stop at the party store, which I will do tomorrow since it's right next to Weight Watchers. Having trouble finding my color on a couple of cosmetics, but will be getting a haircut next weekend at Ulta, so they should have what I need there.

Thinking of having my FL friend pick up some candy (Halloween you know, it is all on sale) for gift bags for the Counselors and our room steward and serving crew. Seems silly to buy it here and pack it

Thinking I'll go see Three Muskateers tomorrow...big fan of Ray Stevenson and Matthew MacFadyen, oh, and that Orlando Bloom guy too.

Finished my magnets today, I won't attach the actual magnetic adhesive until I get to Florida.

I am putting the magnetic tape in my checked luggage, and not near any electronics or memory cards.

Does magnetic adehesive tape do any havoc with TSA security?
If it does, my suitcase is going to be sounding off alarms, and possibly pulling more satellites out of their orbit.

Next project: TIP ENVELOPES for DVC Resorts.
Does anyone do TIP ENVELOPES for the DCL room service?
I kind of remember someone mentioning putting a candy bar around the room service tip, which is kinda cool.
Now I want to get a tip like that, make mine a Symphony Bar with toffee chips.
Staring at unopened bags of Halloween Candy for the Pillow Case Signatures and others. I want chocolate so bad !
I haven't lost a pound in a couple weeks, Jay has done better.

Ian, how many dollar bills fits in a wad ? I am thinking at least 60, maybe even like 100 ? I'm glad you mentioned the dry cleaning, I must do that on Monday.

I read that Walt Disney World deluxe resorts and DVC Villas have completed their Free WIFI in the room installation and the trial period is now completed. I am hoping the ethernet is still available, I would prefer to use my own router to secure the wifi. I also read that they are going to a fee for higher band service needs. I guess they don't want everyone streaming NETFLIX to avoid the Disney Channel selections.

I'm sure it doesn't since there are lots of things that are magnetic. Anyway, I've never had a problem.

You get envelopes on the ship. Not sure if anyone does their own envelopes for the ship, or at least I've never heard of it.

You hit the number on the head! Sixty singles. They're not needed on the ship other than for room service, but I figure about 8 for the shuttle to Midway tip, 2-bucks a bag tipping at curbside check-in in Chicago, 5 to 10 for the limo driver from MCO to our port hotel, 2-bucks a bag to the porters at DCL, and about 2 a day for room service, and another 8 for the limo driver from the ship to MCO, and then same again from Midway back home. I think that makes about about 50 total, with 10 singles to spare!

Ok, so How do you buy OBC in advance? I searched DCL website to try and prepay tips, etc. and could not find it anywhere.

Yes - Disney jewelry specifically for Disney trips. Got mine too. I have had good luck with the Mickey and Minnie watches from Kohls.com.

Haircut appointment and pedicure appointments schedule for this Friday.

Need to purchase sunblock and print 1 door magnet.

Actually had a dream last night that we were in Nassau at Paradise Island and got really lobster red sunburnt because I forgot to purchase the sunblock. Obviously I was thinking about the sunblock a lot right before bedtime. Heading to Target tomorrow for that last shopping and to start the Christmas shopping.

Worried now about packing. Would love to start tomorrow - but afraid I will turn the kids on to the trip that they still don't know about. How in the world am I going to keep this a secret. I just don't see how I can keep packed suitcases hidden...... I am also a throw it in because type of packer, but we have always driven to FL in the past and this time we have to fly - need to cut way back even though we could totally pack a lot since we have the first 4 checked bags free and then our 2 carry ons each. But for a 6 day trip that sounds a little ridiculous. I am aiming for 2 checked bags and 1 carry on each for the kids, 2 carry on for the adults.

Still sounds like a lot. Oy.

What do you think, could I market this concept as an ad campaign to DVC ?

Leslie, I bet you'll have to call DCL and do it over the phone as I think the 'make a payment' option on the web site disappears once paid in full. This is assumiing you didn't use a TA, if you did you call them to process it. There is also a 'gift' form DCL has that can be mailed in to buy OBC credits for anyone (who's reservation number you know), but it is probably a little too close to cruise time to risk that.

Phil, that envelope is darling!

Tomorrow is 'finance' day for me, as I attended to all the other errands today. Saved the 'sitting down' one for tomorrow.

Definitely not. I traveled with a lot of magnets on my first cruise in 2009 and never had a problem anywhere.

10 more days for me before I fly out of Switzerland. Just started to pack the first things. Need to do online check-in for Vero Beach soon. Thursday is the release of the Lion King blu-ray - just in time before I leave. Looking forward to get it.
