Well I just made the jump and upgraded from a 11C to 5C - for both cruises. We are now cruising with a verandah - I didn't tell DH or DD - I'm gonna let it be a surprise when we get to our room. DH won't figure it out, but my DD scours the boards for info on the Dream - I'll have to keep all paperwork hidden from her. Think I can hold out that long Our new cabin number is 7540.

Added bonus was an additional $50.00 in stateroom credit on each cruise - so it made the cost of upgrading a little less painful!!

I've been doing lots of research on my Repo/Alaska cruise (only 70 some days away!) And have booked pre hotel and transportation, so that's a couple of more things checked off the list. Have to pay for our private tour in Juneau after the 22nd (want it on NEXT month's Visa!) The fun thing is that people (travel pals) owe me money for what I've booked in advance, so I'm having them buy me OBCs as repayment.

By the way Jackie, I want to thank you again for helping us get the secret verandah for the Panama cruise, we really used our verandah alot and loved the cabin. It was a great location too.

Now that I've signed up for the FE I guess I better start thinking about what I'm going to do. I was part of the dry erase boards for the PC cruise which was way easy.

I was just thinking about you and that cabin the other day and have been meaning to ask how you enjoyed it. I'm glad it worked out that I was able to 'pass it on' to you the day I cancelled.

I had one for the 8/23 Alaska (same room) that I cancelled too, but no one on that thread seemed interested in snatcing it up.

Hmmmmmm....maybe I'll get to finally book and USE on for, oh, say....Hawaii???

I can't believe someone didn't snatch it up, it's a great value and I would love to have it again on a future cruise.

We booked 14 of us on a MR cruise for Mar 2012 and if I didn't have my DGS and DN in our cabin I would have tried to get it again. I was able to snag 5020 SPH for our DD & DSIL.

I've been planning our next vacation to Kauai/Maui and working with a DVC owner on an exchange as they also own Westin in Maui. Hopefully it all works out and we'll get a week on each island. I'm starting to really like our vacations with just the two of us.

yesterday we were -7 real degrees and wind chill of -16..brrrrrrrr. so i have been dreaming of warmer weather..


hey jackie - what did you decide on for the alaska cruise?? since we are doing the same one in August, it could help with the picks of excursions..

BTW i did book the wenches suite on the Fantasy.. wanna join us?? i blame it on the cold weather.. need to plan warm or wamer get aways..LOL

So far for Alaska I'm doing a private whale watching tour with Harv & Marv (there are 24 of us in two 12 seater boats).

I just started looking at private tours for the other 2 stops. Since I can't do much hiking around, I thought a car and driver for a couple of hours with 3 or 4 other friends might be the best way to go (we get to decide where and when to stop).

Hey B2B peeps I need you to share your wisdom...

My 6 yr old niece's trip to WDW/Dream cruise this Nov maybe changing. Now she is wanting a longer cruise and doesn't care about the parks. I've been trying to decide whether to do a B2B on the Dream to give us plenty of time to really check out the ship, or do the Eastern or Western on the Magic. Any advice? I'll have both nieces 11 & 6.

Our B2B if we did it would be Nov 3 & Nov 6.

YEAH! I so didn't want you to cancel 11/6, just selfish reasons of wanting to finally meet face-to-face. Plus I have 6 year old (at time of cruise) twin neices on this cruise too!

We'll be on the Nov 6th for sure as I ended up using DVC points for that one.

We'll be in aft cabin 10166 for Nov 3rd so it will be fun to see how those are and whether it has the 2 chairs and 2 loungers.

.....thinking about calling DCL this morning and moving my 'dummy' cruise to the 12/15/12 Fantasy Eastern that includes San Juan (with THREE sea days). Can't do it myself on line since they don't offer it to the general public yet. I'd want this as my 'fall back' cruise if they don't do something exciting with the Magic/Wonder next year.,,,
