11/06/05 WHO'S With US on the Wonder?

He Everybody! It's me.....well, whome? actually. I had previously posted at my friend's computer and didn't realize it wasn't "me".

Well, it's official, I'm cruising with y'all! Looks like several of us are on deck 7 and I'm looking forward (or aft ;) ) to sitting on the 'secret' verandah with my morning cup of tea. Once my reservation is processed I hope to get a Palo brunch reservation for Monday, as I won't be going to Nassau. I hope all the internet reservations aren't gone yet! If so, I'll just have to wait till boarding day. If anyone else is planning on staying on the ship that day and wants to join me, just send me a PM or post here.

I'll be staying at POFQ the night before, and heading back to WDW after the cruise to meet up with some DIS pals for the last weekend of the F&WF and having dinners at three of my favorite places, Cape May, Boma and 'Ohana.

Well, I'm off to see if the Southwest Airlines web site is working yet.......or I won't get there at all>

Bummer, Palo's internet reservations are all gone, will have to book at boarding :worried:

I did book Castaway Ray's Stingray Adventure for 11AM......now I have to go shopping for a swimsuit cover-up and hunt down my beach shoes. Maybe I'll cruise on over to Sports Authority and see if they have snorkel masks that fit over perscription eyeglasses.

They're not going to be able to live with me at work for the next four weeks!!

:jumping1: :jumping1: :jumping1:

iboucnetoo We are also doing sting ray encounter at 11:00. Also we are on deck 7 room 7638 which is a handicap room. Very excited because we are next door to the "secert" deck 7. I can't wait!!!

DiszyGram, I'm traveling alone, so it's just self (55) for me.

I bought my trip insurance last night. Went to insuremytrip dot com and pulled up some comparisons. Ended up going with CSA for $75. Not bad at all!

Has anyone given any thought to a DIS meet? I know a lot of other groups have met on Dec 10 around 3PM for a 'say hi' quick meeting before the 4pm lifeboat drill. It would be fun to see each other's faces....just so you can say 'hi' as we pass each other on the ship. ::yes::

I changed it for you, ibouncetoo. :) I would love to meet some of the others. I'm a moderator for another large site and many of us went to different site events. I took it upon myself to arrange meetings with everyone.

The events were fantastic but meeting friends from our site were just as fantastic.

My sister (51) and I (61) will be sharing a cabin. Both of us are very friendly and easy to talk to. My daughter (37) is the same way and I know she would love meeting other people. She is a people person.

Maybe one of our group here has done this before on a Disney cruise and can come up with a good place and time to meet. I seem to remember reading about wearing something.

Yes, DIS green (lime green). Always keep you eyes peeled for lime green ribbons, Mickey heads and DIS t-shirts, lanyards and pins. DISers are all over the place on the ship. I'm sure there a quite a few that will be on ours that haven't posted here.

I'm making a special t-shirt to wear that day (or the following day on). I'll post a picture of it when I'm done....so you'll all be able to find me.

I've made shirts for everyone. The grandchildren have several each. It was a lot of fun finding pictures to put on them and I got a little carried away with making them.

DiszyGram, just to update your list, our party will be: self (38), wife (34) and DD (6).

We would love to meet all DISfriends...!! :wave2:

Thank you for making the list DiszeyGram. It seems like we have good mix of ages/groups. It would be nice to meet fellow travellers! :flower:

Has anyone recieved their cruise documents yet? My DH and I have been anxiously awaiting mail delivery for the past few days, but nothing yet! We're already excited, but we'll be even more so when we get those papers!

Dizygram Thanks for make the list. It is really cool to see us all listed it also is great to see the ages of others kids and such. Myself and DH are both very social, but sometimes it is really hard for us to socialize with our DD, Dont get me wrong she loves people but is mentally and phyically handicapped and sometimes takes time to adjust. This is her make-A-Wish trip so we will be letting her get away with being our "cruise director" :earsgirl: My DS is very social and will really like meeting other "guys" to hang out with. This is my 1st cruise so I have no idea of meeting places . This is all just to exciting. I am so excited I have already started to pack.(LOL) :teeth:

dvcersfromva > until now, we didn t receive our docs , last year we got it 20 days in advance, we aren t afraid, because now we can print the docs from DCL web site.

This is a long shot, but is anyone on this cruise taking Amtrak's AutoTrain to get there the day before we sail? We are, and we're looking forward to it. For us, it's a totally relaxing way to get to Florida.

Thanks for the information, Gutto. Since we've never sailed before, we are probably more anxious than we should be! If you got your documents at about 20 days, we should be receiving them soon!

Gutto, I've added your new information. I had guessed earlier that the two people going with you were the ones in your pictures, :) but it could have been your sister and niece. ;)

DizneyGram-
Thanks for putting out the list! Looks like lots of young travelers will be with us - it would be nice to meet so they could get to put a face with a name for the kids clubs! I've also read that people sometimes meet on Deck 10 before the drill. That would be okay by me! Or what about the hidden Deck 7 aft verandah? Or Is it too small to accomodate everyone? I'll have to go buy something lime green since I don't have a Dis'ers t-shirt(yet).
Jackie(IBounceTwo), I am a Jackie, too!
We haven't gotten our docs yet, either, but I hold my breath everytime I see that UPS guy drive down my street!
This is going to be great!!!!! Can't wait to meet everyone! :bounce: :earsboy:

Hi Everyone,

We got our cruise documents today--yeah! Since we've never cruised before we were just assuming it would be a lot of papers, but I guess a lot of you know it's a cool little packet with that special Disney touch! Oh, we're excited now and ready to go! :moped:

I'm willing to meet up with everyone who wants to. I even found a nice light green ribbon at home I'm going to make into a bow and pin on whatever I'm wearing each day.

Hopefully one of you who is very familiar with the ship can come up with a good place and time to meet.

We will probably get on board before noon since we'll be staying in Cocoa Beach. My sister is letting my children and grandchildren stay in her house the night before while she and I and my brother-in-law stay at a friend's house.

The friend and his family live in a beautiful, very expensive home...that is haunted. :earseek: The ghost can be seen by the owner and it moves things. His wife and daughter can't see the ghost but can feel when he's around. It's a young man who was the son of former owners and he does not try to scare people. I'm supposed to be sleeping in the room he appears in the most. I would LOVE to see him and would not be frightened, just completely fascinated. :goodvibes

My sister is a very good photographer and will try to capture the ghost in a picture. The owner will point out where it is located. Hope he makes an appearance. Florida seems to have a lot of haunted places.

This is a link to a picture of me, some short, big-eared guy I picked up, and my sister, Debby. It was taken last year on my first cruise on the Disney Wonder.
