My family and I will be going on our 2nd DCL cruise the week of November 5, 2005. We are so excited to try the Western itinerary.

It will be me, my DH and 3 DD's, ages 16, 13 and 7 at the time of sailing.

Who else will be joining us on this cruise?

This will be our 4th Disney Cruise and our second western. Our group is me, DH, DS (almost 6 at sailing), my DMom & DDad. We will be at the Yacht club the week before. We hope to do MNSSHP too.

This will be our 2nd Disney cruise. 1st one was last November 2004 .. Eastern on the Magic.
This time it will be me, DH, DS (11) & DD (8)... DMom, Ddad, Dsister, Dniece, Dmom in law, Ddad in law and a few Dfriends too. After everyone heard how much fun we had on our last cruise, they all decided to join us on this one.. We are all looking so forward to it.::MinnieMo

We'll be on that cruise also. It will be DH, myself and DD/DS twins who will be 7 at the time of the sailling. It will be our 4th cruise, but we haven't cruised since 5/02. Santa is going to give the cruise to my kids for Christmas. We're in a cat 9 cabin on deck 2 aft ( I can't remember the cabin # right now) and we have 1st dining. We tried 2nd seating once and it was a disaster for us. Depending on my kids school schedule for next year, we might try to get down to US for a night or two before the cruise.

Our same group that did this trip in 2003 will be going again in 2005. 7 adults and 3 children, all from my dh's family.

DH and I will be doing the DVC member cruise in Sept. in "preparation" for this one ;)

Looks like a great group forming. What is everyone doing to pass the time? We have a trip planned to WDW for Easter. It is going to be a surprise trip for my girls (well at least the younger 2). My DD will be turning 13 on March 23rd and she has always wanted to go to WDW for her b-day. We decided to brave the Spring Break/Easter crowds and take her. We're planning on telling her the night before we leave.

One year from this coming Saturday, we'll be getting ready to cruise.

We're leaving this Sat for 7 nights at WDW. We're taking DMIL with us. I wanted her to go on the cruise with us, but she's afraid of deep water and doesn't want to cruise. We may also take the twins to US in March for their 7th birthdays. But, DH and I have never had a couples only trip yet and are considering doing something by ourselves-not sure if we could swing both getaways.

Count us in, me and DH and and our kids will be DS 15, DS 13 and DD 10. This will be our 4th NJ week Magic cruise. We just returned from the 10/30/04 Halloween Magic and can't wait to get back on. Looking forward to going on a Western for a change.

DH and I have a trip planned for New Year's to WDW-- our first NYE getaway. We're usually either with family or at home. Everything is already planned for that one-- ps, flights, car, etc.

I'll be at CSR at WDW in early Dec. for a business trip-- tough job, but somebody's got to do it ;)

Can't wait for next fall!!!

.......DH, DD 10, DS 8, and myself. We just did our 1st cruise on the Wonder and we rebooked on board for 05' and 06'. We are very excited about the western itinerary. They said this cruise is 60% booked already. We had to take the 2nd seating. Not sure how this will go over with the kids, but I guess it will give us more time to enjoy the ports of call. Looking forward to the vrandah this time. ...........Glad to have found you.
P.S. Happy Turkey Day!;)

We're in too. DW, DD9, DD6 and myself. We cruised with some of you back on 11/1/03 and look forward to another great cruise. Looks like it is Jersey week again. Our school board in Minnesota must have relatives in Jersey, because we always have days off in that same week. Only 11 months to go.

Rob and we are really not rude, it is just our last name.

We're sailing too! It is my DH, and DS who will be 8 at the time of the cruise. We sailed on the 10/31/04 Wonder and decided that 4 nights was definitely not enough! I've been trying to get my friends and family to join us this time. We had such a great time on the last cruise. I think we are hooked and will be sailing each year during Jersey week! :boat:

This will be our second cruise on the Magic but first western.

It will be myself, DW, 2 DS 17 & 15 AND DD 7.

Hope this year flys by! Can't wait till November!

We are staying in a Cat. 4 family suite on deck 8 near the aft elevators.

:boat:

Hi, we'll be there too :cool1: Actually booked this trip while on the Magic 11/6/04, but just upgraded to a Cat 9, got room 2644. I'll be sailing with DH(38) DS(9) and DS(6). This will be our 3rd DCL vacation, always 7 day and always Western. I'm bound and determined to get to the Eastern Carribean at some point, but will take whatever I can get in the meantime :D We are cruising with another family and might have my MIL and her hubby too. MIL isn't sure yet, but FIL is really pushing for it.

We've got no other real vacations planned, but will more than likely do what we did last year ... fly in on Friday, stay out at the Port then stay at a Disney hotel Saturday after the cruise and fly back home on Sunday. I've already started scoping out airfare

Checking in with our fellow cruisers.

We are currently having a cruise dilemnia in our household. We can't decide between this DCL cruise or the 9-night Royal Caribbean cruise out of Bayonne, NJ. The RC cruise is about $600 cheaper, plus we could drive to the port, saving airfare costs.

We are torn, my 13 yo and 7 yo want to do DCL, my 15 yo wants to do RC - my husband likes that fact that we can cruise longer for less money. I want to try RC, but I'm afraid that I will spend the whole time saying "this isn't Disney"

Anyone have any tips? I am leaning towards Disney! Help!!!! :jumping3: I just can't decide. I'm waiting for my tax refund to book either one, so I have a few weeks to make a decision.

I was also very torn over DCL or RCCL this week after finding out about the 9 day out of NJ. The RCCL cruise would be much less expensive and we would get 2 more cruise days without any long driving days (we drive to FL from NJ). My DH didn't even consider RCCL this year and the kids, after 3 prior cruises, wouldn't consider it for a second. In the end I think DCL is truly the way to go for us this year but I don't know what I would do next year if RCCL is sailing from NJ on convention week. Reading trip reports from people already spoiled by DCL makes me feel I will spend the week comparing and picking RCCL apart. DCL is amazing and I don't know if I will ever find anything that compares.

Also, when comparing price compare square footage. RCCL's rooms are tiny in comparison and with a family of 5 it is really hard to find a room large enough or connecting. Good luck with your decision, I know it is hard to choose.

We are booked too...DH, DD (1), DSister, Husband, Son (2), DMom and DDad. Should be a great trip. We can't wait. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

we will be coming along with our family of 7 as well as our friends and their family! see everyone at the mickey pool!!!!!!
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Woo Hoo! We're there! Just booked yesterday-never been on DCL before. Very excited. Me, DH, 15 yr DD, 3 yr dd. First big vac. with the little one-second cruise with the big one. Am relieved to see other teens going during the school year-worried DD 15 wouldn't have anyone to hang with. I'll see if there's a teen thread started-if not, I'll ask her to start one. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Welcome aboard goofytwo, nikitta28 and Turtlegirl. Turtlegirl, don't worry about the amount of kids onboard that week. NJ schools have off from school that week and the ship will be filled with kids. It's a great week to cruise!
