My daughter will be 10 and is really picky about food. Will she be able to order off the kids menu at TS restaurants and could she get an addult appetizer and kids entree at a meal ?
Anyone can order off the kid's menu (even 30 year old kids). At TS restaurants, an adult can order a kid's meal and pay the kid's price or can order an "adult portion" of a kid menu item and pay an increased price (double in our case). Never had a problem with this.
There have been a few reports of adults being forced to pay an adult price for a child meal, but I've never read anything about adults being prevented from ordering a child meal completely.
When we went last December we were on the DP and our DS was 10. He is also a very picky eater. In most of the places we went, he would try an adult appetizer, eat and child's entree. His dessert choices were about 50/50 from the adult/child dessert menus. We did not have a problem anywhere we went and I assume because we paid for adult credits for him, the servers and restaurant did not care.
My daughter is the same way about food, she prefers the small portions and the limited choices of the kids menus. She won't order an appetizer and rarely has any dessert. I wonder if we could pay cash for her kids meal and save her credit for later use? We'll be there during free dining and because of her age she's considered an adult -even though she doesn't come close to eating like one.
