10th anniversary cruise

We will be going on the 12/6/03 cruise. It will be our 10th anniversary and my 40th (yuk) birthday. We were going to have a nice celebration at home, but decided on the cruise instead. In fact we are going with a bunch of friends too.

My question is, do they do anything special for anniversaries? Last time we went 3/02, our tablemate had her birthday (it was her actual birthday). They had a cake, card and gift for her. Do they do this for just actual birthdays? My birthday is 11/14 and not too far off from cruising date. Our anniversary is 12/10, so we will be on the cruise for the actual date. Also, is Weds formal night too? That would be so cool to be all dressed up for our anniversary.

Just had our 13th anniversary onboard. We had dinner at Palo on the actual night and had a cake there and the next night, our regular dining room servers brought us ANOTHER cake & sang to us and there was a card for us in our room. Make sure to let them know ahead of time & when you check in at the port.

Definitely make sure your TA, or tell DCL, puts this on your reservation and confirm it at check in. We celebrated our 15th on our cruise in 1998. We were supposed to go in June but backed up to August when the ship was delayed. When we booked for June 2003 the CM asked if we'd be celebrating our 20th anniversary on this cruise! A cake and I think a card but it is a nice touch. It doesn't have to be "on the date".

We are going on 11/23 to celebrate my 40th, DH's 45th and our 10th anniversary. DH's bday is disembarkation day... My TA asked me if we wanted to celebrate the trio of events in a special way, and on which day. Since the Thursday of our cruise will be Thanksgiving, I decided we would celebrate on the Sunday night. I have not told DH, though, as I think he should have at least a little teensy surprise.
