The number of Christmas lights I just put on our Christmas tree.



Yes, we put the tree up already. We found it was easier last year to do this all before our early December trip.

I can't believe you counted. I'm putting up the decorations but not the tree yet. Maybe next week.

Our Charlie Brown tree is decorated year round, just gotta bring it up from the basement.

Jeff, I'm thinking of putting the tree up before I leave, too! That way, Marty can deal with Kelly rearranging the ornaments. Hey, it'll keep her busy anyway.

How tall is your tree? I like a lot of lights but, I'm thinking I usually put up about 700-800 on a 6-ft tree.

i counted last year too. we had 1200 on a 7 ft tree!!

I want to put my tree up now... but the problem is we only have a 4 1/2 foot tree (from our old apartment) and I really want a bigger one. I wonder if my DH will let me get a bigger one

That's how many lights will be on our 7' tree, which we will put up Thanksgiving night. DH "wraps" the lights around the branches of the tree, in and out, in and out....we learned that from our daughter's DH, his family has always done their tree that way. Makes it really pretty and gives it more depth.

That's why we have 1080 also, I weave the lights around the branches so that we have a good deal of depth to the treee. With the top part of the tree not folded over because of the angel, we have a 7 foot tree, but it's really wide at the base.

I've got 980 lights that are multi-colored chasers, and a strand of 100 that I use that stays solid for hooking up different lighted ornaments - all my Star Trek ornaments.

I do the same thing!! I always curse myself though, when it's time to take the lights off!!!
