I've been pricing Med cruises through other lines and the prices above really aren't outta whack. Disney is typically a tad more expensive on Caribbean cruises and I'd expect the same for Med cruises as well.

Oh my!!! And you are right.....we did the Panama Canal trip, and it increased $800 from the time I saw it on the web to the time I booked the next morning. They will be popular, and prices will increase.

Remember that we have no idea what these special ports, etc. are costing DCL.

Thanks for the info Lisa....just too rich for my wallet. Guess I won't be cruising the Med on Disney or anyone else.

My dh wants to cruise the Med next but he says it won't be a DCL trip. We're looking into Raddison (Regent) with all balcony rooms and smaller guest load per trip.

I'd love to do a DCL Med cruise but we're scheduled for a super-duper anniversary trip to the Appalachian mountains during fall color in October. Having just cruised at the end of February, looks like our next won't be until 2007 at the earliest.

It will be very interesting to see if there's really such demand for a family cruise with prices like this.

I can see the upper categories going like hotcakes...but who wants to pay 8 grand for a category 12?

The prices are phenomenal, even converted from dollars to pounds, royal caribbean and princess are far cheaper! I reckon they might have to look again if they're trying to capture more of the european market

I've checked out repo cruises through RCI several times and their prices are nothing like DCL. Sorry Disney...love ya', but my wallet can't afford you on this one!

if you try to get a similarly sized room, the prices aren't that much different than rccl or princess.
