We've visited the World quite a few times but we're heading to DLR in 105 days (Aug 28 - 8-31), staying at Paradise Pier for four days. A few questions as someone who's never been to Disneyland:

- Do they speak English there?
- Is the water safe to drink?
- Should I bring chocolate and baubles to hand out to the local Disneyland children?

Seriously, I feel like I should be planning something for this trip but I have no idea what

1. You'll hear 2 dialects, LA and California. The etymology is still up for debate.
2. The really good stuff is bottled and sold in other states, like Florida.
3. Be courteous and unwrap the chocolate to make it easier on the children who have a hard life living so close to a Disney park.

This thread should help you begin to get your bearings: A DLR Guide for WDW Vets

1. DLR regulars have their own lingo of nicknames and abbreviations. This sticky might help a bit: DLR Abbreviations List
2. Potable, yes. Drinkable? Up to each guest's preference. Bottled water is alway available, as is free filtered water from most CS places, water dispensers at certain locations, and the First Aid stations.
3. Chocolate is messy. And Disney probably wants parent to buy Disney bubbles. How about stickers (Usually not messy, no dietary risks, and easy to hand out)?
