Ok, so the only thing that doesn't seem to make me sick to my stomach lately is fish (not breaded or fried) and fresh veggies/fruit. I only know 1 way to make fish and that's wrapping it in foil and baking it with some garlic and lemon. Anyone got a good recipe? Looks like we are eating fish nightly for the time being.

I bake or grill it with lemon pepper seasoning. I think it's McCormick brand. I spray with a little olive oil first. Another way is to lightly coat with seasoned bread crumbs and bake.

Happy fishing!

We love, love, love tilapia. It is a relatively inexpensive fish. Very mild tasting. We love it on the grill. DH will brush both sides with EVOO then sprinkle some kosher salt and fresh lemon on it. Then he puts it on the grill and peppers it right before coming off the grill. I think you would like it if fish is all you can tolerate right now. Orange roughy is awesome done up the same way.

I do my orange roughy similarly. I brush it with olive oil, salt and pepper, it, sprinkle lemon pepper and paprika on it and throw it on the grill (actually dh does):) It's so good!

That's another thing. I know I like Salmon but I really don't care for strongly fishy tasting fish. What are good inexpensive kinds to look for?

My MIL does this with any white fish...pour a can of crushed tomato over it, season it, slice some onions & garlic if you like, bake it (covered I think) in a pan...yum and at least a different taste than plain old fish!

Can you stomach shrimp or scallops? There's another alternative for you.

I have been looking for some goof and easy fish recipes myself. We always do salmon, and I really think my family would like other types of fish as well, I am just afraid of cooking it.

Have you checked your grocery store for ideas? Near our seafood section there is a stand with all kinds of seafood recipes.

I don't know if you can tolerate this or not.
There is a canned italian appetiser called caponata (jarred eggplant, tomatoes, olives and capers) Sometimes I put a couple of spoonfuls of that over fish before I bake it.
Grouper is a mild fish as well.
:)

Talapia is good but we like Basa even better.

Saute some onions, red pepper and garlic(optional) and then place the fish in pan and cover with mixture and cover pan. Flip after a couple of minutes and cook until fish flakes, couple more minutes. Lemon or not, up to you.

We also have a nice salad with tomato, topped with walnuts and dressing of choice.

Fast, easy and healthy.

I make fish a lot, and I've found myself using more and more of those 30 minute marinades lately. Then I bake and serve over couscous.

Another thing that sounds weird but is actually pretty good: poach the fish in chicken bouillon. (Just water with one of those cubes dissolved in it.)

A really easy recipe is one I make using frozen flounder from Costco. All I do is throw a bag of frozen spinach in a baking dish. Sprinkle it with garlic powder, throw some feta cheese on top of the spinach. drizzle olive oil and lemon juice on top of it. Then put the fish fillets on top of the spinach and spinkle a little more garlic powder on it and more olive oil and lemon juice. Sometimes I chop a tomato or two and throw it on the fish. Cover with foil and bake at 350. Now I never really time it, but I think it usually takes about 45 minutes to bake. I know I left it in for an hour and it still was fine. This is a dish that I bring to work for myself and my friend, it reheats well in the microwave. I love that I can toss it together in under 5 minutes and basically forget about it and go do other things.
