Noooo! It's vacation!
So, what do you think it means that I had a nightmare about Disney last night?Let's see what I can remember... I know we went with a childhood friend of mine and her ex-husband. They were still together in this dream, for some reason.
We had one of those big passenger vans and I was in the second seat. Suddenly I look up front and the van's going, but no one is driving. I jump up front to try and drive, but the seat's too high and I can't reach the brakes. We're approaching a red stop light where a 18 wheeler is turning in front of us. I try to adjust the chair and slam on the brakes but I can't do it fast enough. I am able to swerve to miss the 18 wheeler and everywhere we look there are people wrecking all around us.
My (in real life) plan is to go check in at the hotel, drop off bags, then hit the Studios. In my nightmare, we're close to Downtown Disney, so I pull into the parking lot. It didn't look anything like DTD though. It was like a food court type of thing with only chinese and japanese foods. I went to the bathroom (probably to unload my pants from that near miss with the truck!) while everyone was supposed to figure out there food choice. When I came back I couldn't find anyone. I looked around and I found each adult, but no one knew where the kids were. Even though we each have 3 kids, I ran around yelling, "I can't believe we've been here 5 minutes and our kids are already missing!" I talked to different CMs who had classes divided by age group. No one really helped me because they couldn't leave their class. I finally found some of the kids sitting at a table in the food court area. They had gone to their classroom (according to age, of course) when I was in the restroominstead of staying put at the table. They learned a bible verse and heard a story.
The last thing I remember is that I looked over and the roads were still really bad. So, sicne we parked for free, I told everyone we should get our carry-on bags and use the boat to go to Port Orleans and check in so we could start having some fun. Weird, huh?

On our last trip back in Sept. my DH woke up one morning and announced to all of us that he had a terrible nightmare. When my DH dreams I pay attention because he usually doesn't. (or can't remember them) We asked him about it and he tells us that he is stuck on IASM and cannot get off. The music just gets louder and louder. DS, DD, and I just about choked on our breakfast after he told us that. We didn't ride that ride anymore on that trip. Stuck with the not so scary stuff like TOT and the Haunted Mansion.
That would be horrible!
Posting to help you get through your days of packing. I agree, the DIS has been fairly quiet. Everybody is still busy with holiday festivities and visiting family. Yesterday was the first time in a while I had time to post.

We usually arrive at WDW around 4pm and have so much to do that we never make it to the parks. Sometimes, we might hit DTD but usally we just grab a bite near the shopping area we go to for groceries.
We get in about 2. We don't have to do anything but check in and drop hubby's carry-on in the room. I have my backpack all oacked for the parks as my carry-on. We're going to MGM (Disney Studios, whatever...) so I figure we'll watch a show or two, then chill. That will give us a taste, so wqe can sleep, hopefully.

Not at 9:00 tonight...for 6 - 8 hours. They are upgrading the servers so the boards go down in 22 minutes
Yeah, it sucks that the server will be down tonight. Someone at DH's work gave him some Crown Royal today and Jim Beam last week. Nothing says Merry Christmas like hard liquor.
