101 Ways My Son Entertained Himself at WDW--The Last Day--New 11/18

Getting close!!!

Sounds like u had a great Christmas!
So weather is warm now?? Course, you live in TX, so it may be close to what u are used to.

Gift--Ab got me a gold cross necklace which is really pretty and BA got me a silver locket at her school reindeer store. Gotta find some pics of really tiny people to put in it.....maybe dwarfs!

:cool1: It IS getting close! I was just making my last grocery list for a few things we need for the weekend and a "To Do" list.

It's actually warmer in FL than here right now. It's 28 now and is supposed to be 60 later. They are in the 80s. The weather report cahnges so much there, I haven't been able to pack yet. I do have a pile of Disney clothes for each kid, just waiting for the final report on Sunday/Monday. I'm expecting to pack capris, jeans and short sleeves with jackets. C has a few skirts that I bought tights to go with incase it's colder. She's so tiny she gets cold the easiest. Me, not so much...

The gifts from the girls sound wonderful. :goodvibes

Signing up. Late but here. Found you on the Man Report. Slow morning so I had time to click around. I clicked on your blog and just finished watching the dance video.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I'll go back and catch up on your PTR in time to be in on your TR.
Wow, 5 days. Bet you are excited.

Oh, we home school too. You can meet me on my PTR if you want to. I'm writing about once a week since it isn't until Sept.

Hello, and Welcome! I've really let me blog go since I starting DISing. I should go write there again before the trip. :headache:
That dance video was hilarious! I should just watch it every day I'm cranky- it would totally help. :thumbsup2

That's so cute HS I'm so pleased he like it :goodvibes

BTW I noticed your new avatar straight away it's really nice :thumbsup2

Yep. He loved it and he is so cute about it.
My new avatar goes with the dates of my trip... 2008! :cool1:

I've been packing this afternoon. Just thinking about how close the trip is or needing to pack for the trip makes me feel weepy. I'm so excited, y'all. I can't believe it's been almost 12 years since we've been to Disney World. It's really too long. Maybe we can do this every 3-4 after this. I would say every other year, but I have 3 kids' college to pay for and I really want the kids to see things I never got to. i want them to live their schooling. When we study American History again (2009-2010), I want to take the kids to Washington DC. I'd love to go to NYC, and the Amercian Girl store/factory too. So, we'll see when we go back again.

Now, let's focus on this trip, shall we? :cool1: So, what did I do today? I went to Target and got tiny packets of laundry soap and dryer sheets. I really don't want to do laundry, but I want to be prepared too. I bought Clorox wipes, wipes for spills on shirts (those happen often on my shirt, unfortunately. :sad2: ) I bought lanyard string things for the kids emergency contact info and phone numbers. That way they can put them in their shirts. We found the CUTEST shoes for C (DD6)!! They were this style, but light pink with white polka dots. They have on the heel area a picture of the princesses. So perfect! I think they were $10 too. What a steal!
I also found these Lightening McQueen shoes for A, but he thinks they are dumb. :sad2: Oh well. He likes the character, but hates the shoes.
Last week I had to restock certain people's sock drawers, and bought new tennis shoes for hubby. We have 8 lithuim AA batteries... Whew! This trip stuff is exausting!

I worked on packing clothes today for the girls. I figure no matter what, they weather will be similar to here, so I can pack knowing that. I opted for a lot of capri pants, short sleeves and skirts with leggings. We have jackets and gloves (for when it's dark & cold in the evening) packed too.
I did what any good DISser does and put the kids' clothes in labeled gallon ziplocks with their name, day of the week the outfit is to be worn and what park we're going to. Some had notes on the too like, "wear with pink shoes" or "wear with blue tennis shoes." I figure this is a pain when I was packing, but will really help each morning when I can throw the bags on the bed and the kids will get themselves ready. :yay: Hubby's bummed that his clothes don't fit into a gallon ziplock.

I better get moving on A's clothes now. I did the girls, so that will be all the kids. I won't be able to do hubs or my clothes until Sunday since we don't have 75 cute outfits. I'm thinking we have maybe 2-3 each! :rotfl2: Oh well, who cares what we're wearing. I'm already overlooking the fact that I was supposed to lose 50 pounds before I left too. :snooty:
More tomorrow!

SUBBING!! :cool1:

I just noticed your tag! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: It's hilarious. I'll take partial credit for that, thankyouverymuch! It was Carrieannie that was too long to write out. Jo made me get a shorter name too (HSM or HS), so I guess it's tradition. :rotfl2:

A little early eh? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Hey, I have to do something to help pass the time away.:rolleyes1

All caught up now. Love the projects you did. And I LOVE the car shoes you found. Sorry A doesn't like them. Remember while you are on this trip that you are vacationing for all of us who are still stuck at home with our normal routines. Take a lot of pics and share, share, share when you return.popcorn::

Morning HS!

You sound pretty busy! I was just reminded by Ddad's packing advice "Pack it all--you might not come home!" :rotfl2:
I've never packed in ziplocs, but many here do. Since my girls are convinced that I have limited sense of style, I don't think my efforts would be appreciated anyway. :sad2:
They spend many moments each day confirming their outfit selections with each other (does this look right with this? does this make my hips stick out?? uh....no.....no one who wears a size 2 should EVER ask that question!)

I would advise letting your baby wear her new shoes this week---BA wore blisters on her feet one time from new Tinkerbell shoes.

Keep us updated--we're living the dream through you right now!! :thumbsup2

So, what do you think it means that I had a nightmare about Disney last night? Let's see what I can remember... I know we went with a childhood friend of mine and her ex-husband. They were still together in this dream, for some reason. :confused3
We had one of those big passenger vans and I was in the second seat. Suddenly I look up front and the van's going, but no one is driving. I jump up front to try and drive, but the seat's too high and I can't reach the brakes. We're approaching a red stop light where a 18 wheeler is turning in front of us. I try to adjust the chair and slam on the brakes but I can't do it fast enough. I am able to swerve to miss the 18 wheeler and everywhere we look there are people wrecking all around us.
My (in real life) plan is to go check in at the hotel, drop off bags, then hit the Studios. In my nightmare, we're close to Downtown Disney, so I pull into the parking lot. It didn't look anything like DTD though. It was like a food court type of thing with only chinese and japanese foods. I went to the bathroom (probably to unload my pants from that near miss with the truck!) while everyone was supposed to figure out there food choice. When I came back I couldn't find anyone. I looked around and I found each adult, but no one knew where the kids were. Even though we each have 3 kids, I ran around yelling, "I can't believe we've been here 5 minutes and our kids are already missing!" I talked to different CMs who had classes divided by age group. No one really helped me because they couldn't leave their class. I finally found some of the kids sitting at a table in the food court area. They had gone to their classroom (according to age, of course) when I was in the restroominstead of staying put at the table. They learned a bible verse and heard a story.
The last thing I remember is that I looked over and the roads were still really bad. So, sicne we parked for free, I told everyone we should get our carry-on bags and use the boat to go to Port Orleans and check in so we could start having some fun. Weird, huh? :scared1:

Ok......I think this means:

--don't eat Chinese food whilst riding in a van with lost children!

:rotfl2: I always dream about whatever I am thinking about the night before (it's why romance novels are high on my list for bedtime reading! ;) :lmao: )

Pack it all... Yikes! I'm trying to condense it down to less suitcases right now. I do plan on taking one suitcase to bring back goodies in too.
I let C wear the shoes once to the store, but that's all. I think I may tell her she has to put socks on with them even though they weren't meant for that. I am wondering if I should just skip them, but they are SO CUTE!!! I don't want her feet to hurt though... :guilty: I'll have her wear them tomorrow on our errands, I think. Yeah, that'll work. :yay:

I have a lot of fashion-sense, but it's all in a size 2X body. :sad2: So, I try to dress the girls cute since they don't make cute, fashionable clothes for big mama. :lmao: I was packing some pretty cute stuff for my 10 yr old, but I have to pull some the sparkle jeans in favor of jogging pants. It just didn't amke sense to pack blinged out jeans for a themepark. :headache:

I khope there'a more action on these boards today! I'm cleaning and packing so we can go to my SIL's tomorrow afternoon/evening. I'll need to take breaks to read of course! :surfweb:

Good idea reading romance novels before bed. But we all have to wake up eventually! :headache:
