10030 on the Dream

We have it booked along with connecting 10032 on the Fantasy. Would love a report too! I was told by a DCL cm that it has a pull down bunk....if that helps any.

We were in room 10090 and I took a picture so it could work the room was in the category 4A location. The room had no murphy bed but it did have a pull down from the ceiling but we did not use it.

Dream Class cabin 10030, mirror image cabin 10530, can be seen in these images. Your cabin 10030 is located beneath cabins on deck 11, which is much desired, unlike being under the fitness center. , or pool deck IMO. You will have an unobstructed view with a clear plexi balcony rail/wall. You do have a substantial overhang above you, but that can be good and bad. Above you is the somewhat enclosed balconies of the CL level cabins. Hopefully the occupants won't be too noisy, pushing furniture about on their veranda at disruptive hours. You will have a non connecting veranda panel located forward on said balcony. On deck 10 not all verandas connect. Every over pair have structural members that do not open/connect. These fixed panels actually offer more privacy than a connectable veranda. The veranda panel aft could connect. You will have no outer skinage to worry about as this skinage isn't on deck 10, and is not aligned with either side of you balcony anyway.

Have you seen these photos? Look for mirror image cabin 10530.

Same applies and since your non connecting veranda panel is forward, your two balconies can connect/open IMO, since your other cabin, 10032 is aft of 10030. Hope that makes sense. lol

I'm curious if you asked specifically for connecting verandas AND cabins, as that isn't as easily provided on 10, unlike other decks. If fact, ironically it's more rare than available; 2 cabins that connect internally AND connect on the veranda on deck 10. Nice grab. And under other cabins, and just below the adult pool, and near forward elevators that IMO are used less crowed.

And to both, don't worry about elevator noise. 9 out of 10 report no issue with sound from the elevators or lobby.

And in the interest of full disclosure, and all the others reading, under the fore and aft bumpouts, Dream Class, no cabins connect on the verandas, as they all have structural steel to support the massive bumpouts.

What I find interesting is the dents from the inside of said ceiling bunk.
Perhaps it's just the light, but it makes you wonder if ... Or if Freddie ... or ...., if ...

BTW these cabins are 5a cabins that hold up to 4 pax. If booked with 4 pax, you will have the ceiling bunk. If booked with three pax you may or may not have the ceiling bunk. If you need to know the specific bed config in any cabin call DCL.

These cabins have 203 sqft of interior space and 43 sqft on the balcony.
These cabins do not have a murphy wall pull down , nor do they have the space for said murphy.

People have already commented on the room itself, so I won't, but we were in 10024 on the Fantasy this summer and absolutely loved the location. It was quiet, close to the elevators which were never busy, and only one floor up to the food counters, drink stations, and pools.

We were in 10032 on the dream in September, and loved it- quiet, really conveniently located (we could easily choose forward or mid-ship stairs/elevators- going up the mid- was nice with the kids to deck 11 so we wouldn't have to talk them through the adult area), the extra overhang on the veranda was really nice when it was raining!

In the interest of full disclosure, the PP reports are of port side cabins.
Nice and quiet as expected, or at least darn close. This is not reciprocal to the starboard side.
I would like to point out that cabins 10522 - 10510 starboard should be avoided, as they are under the fitness center.
At times the Fitness Center opens at 8am on sea days.
Port days it can open at 7am.
Of course that is just my experience of the hours. lol. Others obviously thrive @ those times above your cabin, excited, doing aerobics and weights.
Anyway , you get the picture/sound I hope.



Choose your cabin carefully, and don't hesitate to ask here if you are unsure.

Right, I was responding because our cabin (10032) was directly next to (connected, even) to 10030, and its advantages are shared with the cabin directly forward of it (but potentially not directly aft of it- I believe 10032 is the furthest after cabin on the port side of deck 10 that is under deck 11 cabins and not under the pool decks or Cabanas).

Actually, from the PP link photos it appears 10034/10534 is still under the CL level cabins/Spa. So IMO I would say that is the last deck 10 cabin under deck 11 cabins. Check the previous links. Now please correct me if I'm wrong.

However, I will admit you got the last two aft connecting cabins port side with connecting verandas under cabins on deck 10.

The angle of the dangle is off in the photos. Follow the lower missing outer skin / deck 11 glass separations, where the skin ultimately lines up with. Deck 11 protrusion is affecting the photos and the angle of exposure.

I realize that makes no sense. lol. Oh, my post makes as much sense as your PP. Which makes as much sense as my current post. lol. Also Cabanas is aft fwiw.

From what I could figure out from our room, I think this link is correct about 10032 being the last one firmly under a cabin and not under the pool deck:

Quieter cabins on Deck 10 of the Disney Dream are forward and port side (10000- 10032), because these cabins are cushioned by cabins directly above and beneath. Starboard staterooms 10500- 10532 are also going to be relatively quiet at night, because the fitness area above is not going to busy late in the evening.
Exterior staterooms 10034- 10056 port side and 10534- 10556 starboard are all under a relatively quiet pool area, but there could be some noise early in the morning and late at night as staff clean this area. You might hear the scraping of deck chairs, for example, as these are moved about.

When I look at the deck plan here, it looks to me like 10032 may actual come out just a little bit into under-the-pool-deck. I slept on the upper bunk in the cabin, though, and can say I heard not a peep of deck-chair-moving in the mornings over my head.

Another thought I just had is you guys are port, and are two decks below the smoking section, at least on the Fantasy. Given the right winds in port, you may be affected. Only when stationary/docked though IMO.

Don't like smoke, didn't notice a thing from our veranda on the Dream- don't actually know where the smoking section was, though. The only place I was ever aware of smokers was passing through an area on Deck4 with used ashtrays and a stink, and an empty Disney Cruise Line matchbook that I meant to inquire about getting one of but forgot (don't like cigarettes, like matches).

Thanks so much for your help! I have to admit, I would have been so disappointed if our balconies (10030/10032) did NOT connect! So are you certain, or should I call DCL? Not that I really have an option......we recently booked our April cruise and originally had connecting 5b cabins on 8 fwd but learned that neither of them had the bunk- which we were really hoping for, for our girls to give them each their own bed for the week. So these, as well as two other connecting cabins under the fitness center, were the only options left. I'm fairly apprenhensive about the overhang from the deck above. Reassurance, please?!?

This cruise is a dream come true for me- albeit fairly last minute planned- so hoping we love the stateroom.

Just came back from our Halloween cruise on the Dream in room 10030 and it was great! It was quiet and very close to the elevators. It did have a connecting door to 10032 and it looked as though the divider on the verandah could be folded in half to make the verandah bigger for 10032 and 10030 to share. It was an awesome room!
