$100 transfer fee

The resort transfer fee went up by 25% - to $100 per exchange.
Either I missed the mailing on this, or it was raised without a notification. As of last month it was $75.

When we booked our cruise this month for December, we only paid $75. When did it go up?

It must have gone up within the last couple of weeks because it was $75 on January 23rd but it is $100 now.

I just bought and all my paperwork said $75. How did you find out the change? Don't they have to notify us about these changes?

We just sold and that's how we found out. The resort exchange fee is paid when there is a re-sale. The Timeshare Store contract that we received on January 23rd listed the DVC resort exchange fee as $75. But today we got the Title Company breakdown of charges and the charge for the DVC resort exchange is $100. I called the Timeshre Title Company and the person who is handling this sale told me that they were as surprised as I was to see the increase. The Timeshare Store called DVC to ask if DVC would let Timeshare honor the $75 exchange fee that is listed in their exisiting contracts, but DVC said the fee is now $100 regardless of the timeshare existing contracts.

I think you need some terminology clarification. The $100 fee is a transfer fee on a resale which is not the same as the $75 exchange fee when you book outside the DVC resorts with points

Thanks! Looks like I wasn't the only one who was confused.

It may be the same thing. It is listed as:

"Resort Exchange Transfer Fee to Disney Vacation Development"

and it was supposed to be $75. If it only applied to selling, it would be listed as a sale transfer fee. Has anyone done an exchange within the past week? This may be the same fee which is now $100.

It is not the same thing.I just spoke with two different people about it,one being a DVC guide.Only the transfer fee went up.
