She is wondering if the All-Stars are better than the Days Suites on 192 ? One of our few off-site stays was at the Hilton in Downtown Disney, and I would still prefer the A/S over that !
There is that Disney "Magic" about staying on-site.
I do have to admit, however, that we have two Disney trips coming up where we are staying off-site. Why ? Two reasons : we scored a reall good rate for a 2 bedroom at Summerfield Suites, and we will only be going to the water parks - not the theme parks. We do have a trip planned after new years to start hitting the theme parks again, and for that trip we have reservations in hand for Old Key West.
Lets see, some other reasons:
* Disney busses are right outside the parks, not out in the middle of a HOT parking lot waiting till it's full to leave.
* Disneys pools are heated ( in most cases ) !
* Disney tends to stay CLEAN !!
* Disney Cast Members - they are just trained to be nicer. You WILL notice that .
* As others have mentioned, Mickey Mouse wake-up calls on the phone and a"Zip-a-Dee-Do-Da-Day !" on the tv ;-) .
* Free refills on the mugs.
* Instead of 407-WDW-DINE for priority seating, just *55.
* Surprise Mornings & E-ticket nights.
* The afternoon break - harder to do if staying off-site.
* With disney transportation, the group can split up and go separate ways. You don't have to do what everyone else is doing because you are not dependent on the rental car or offsite bus for your transportation.
And many, many more
