i am a mother of two kids trying to take them to wdw have booked pc all stars for 7 nts got 7day hopper passes now i am worried about my food budget will 100 dollars a day be enough for food and etc. they dont eat much and i dont plan on char. meals.

billygoat, I think that will be plenty if you budget it right. If two adults can make it on less than $50 a day, one adult and two small eating kids should do fine.

That should be plenty, even if you're talking Canadian! I've budgeted $100 US per day for 2 trips for 5 of us (2 adults, 3 kids between 3 & 8) and we never went over. We didn't buy many souvenirs, we did 3 or 4 sit down meals (not character), but the key was bringing snacks with us and carrying water so we didn't have to buy something every time someone asked for something! This trip, we're on a really tight budget, have a condo with a kitchen, and I'm only budgeting $50 US a day.
Have a great trip!

Why don't you visit THIS SITE that has menus. It will give you a VERY good idea on what you might be spending for food. It lists everything from counterservice to the sit down restaurants. Menus are updated frequently. I hope this helps!

Have fun looking, but don't get too hungry!! :hyper: :sunny:

When I took my two kids they were quite happy to eat at least one if not two meals in the room, depending on how hot and tired they were. We had a fold up cooler and made a stop at Publix on the way to the hotel. We took bottles of water to the park and asked for ice. And kids are happy with cheap food. I was the one wanting some sustenance at the end of the day.

$100 a day is usually our budget for a family of four not doing a bunch of sit-down/character meals. Sounds good to me. -HM

thanks for making me feel a little more at ease about the money issue i am planning on taking about 14oo us dollars i know this is plenty but i am always worried about running short, my kids will have about 100 dollars each that they have been saving to spend for arcades and extras that they want.

thanks again for your replies.

Remember the tips already noted for drinks and you should have money left over. Also keep in mind that meal sharing is perfectly acceptable, adults can order and eat kids meals, and let them know if you want to drop off any 'side' (like fries) if you're not going to eat them...it shaves a couple dollars off your bill. Have a WONDERFUL time!

It is more than enough, you can even do a charactar meal to remember :)
try to get healthier choices since you say they don't eat much and don't fill them up with snacks.
You will be happy and you will have lots of choices to try mmmm...
Enjoy

If we can avoid the sit-down meals (we sometimes give in to temptation!) myself, DH & DSs (5&3) make due on less than $100 a day.

Bagels or (Mickey Magic!) cereal in the room beofre heading out
Lunch - counter service, DH & I each get a kids meal or split an adult meal, DSs share a kids meal
Dinner - DH & I usually get our own adult meal, DSs share a kids meal again

If there aren't any 'meal deals' we each get a burger (or pizza or whatever) for each, split one order of fries (or garlic bread or whatever) & drink water

I was are jonesin' for caffeine, I'll get one Coke for us all to share, otherwise we just re-fill water bottles all day!

Before our last trip I bought each DS a Buzz Lightyear water bottle on a strap at the Disney Store (about $6 each). They loved them and carried their own water for 5 days without complaining since the water bottles were so cool!

By doing all this, we had food $$ left over most days for Dole Whips, Mickey Ice Cream, and souvenier buckets of popcorn!!
