$100 Disney Rewards Card

Thanks so much for this info. I filled out an on-line application for DH, got the card in less than a week, he bought something for $3.00 and the gift card came today. Total time from application to gift card received couldn't have been much more than 2 weeks. :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

If it give you a web address, apply online, my Dh already had a card and applied online and received his new card last week, we used it Wednesday evening and we are now waiting for the gift card.

Suzanne
Thanks but we both have separate credit accounts for our Disney Visa, so it is still a no go!

We did the $200 offer for DH. Used the card for the first time on June 30. Just received the second bill today and the $200 was added to the rewards. :woohoo:

I received the $200 offer back in April. I applied online and was rejected even though I have not missed a payment of any type in my life and my credit score is over 800. The reason was "too many recent credit inquiries" which must have been because I had just refinanced my mortgage.

Anyway, my current Disney Visa card is under my soon to be ex-wife's name with me as the secondary and I want to have one under just my name for when the divorce is finalized so I just applied for this deal over the phone. I hope it goes better this time.
UGH!!! I just received the $150 offer in the mail yesterday after going through the application for the $100 over the phone during the day. Should I try again online or just wait for the $100 card (assuming I get it this time).

Hmmm....maybe call and explain your situation and ask if you can get the other $50 too......
I actually signed up for the $100 a few months back and just yesterday received another $100 in rewards just by writing them and asking them about why I had friends that were offered the $200 and if my business was not as importmant, here is the the thread that gave me the idea http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=37756373#post37756373

:woohoo: Well, maybe only partial success. I applied for the visa on 7/22, got an email saying they'd be in touch within 15 days. The card arrived in the 8:30am mail on 7/29 :cool1::cool1:. I activated it immediately and used it yesterday afternoon. SO... will the rewards card arrive before 8/16??? Our flight is at 6am on 8/17.
STAY TUNED :surfweb: I'll let you know when/if I get the $100 rewards card (oh, this'd be sooooo sweet!!!)

Is it the height of conceit to quote yourself?? I HAVE THE GIFT CARD!!

Sorry I am late in posting; we were on a road trip and I just got home. Here's the timeline on the $100 gift card.

7/22/10- Applied for the card using DVC link (and I already have one, not DVC);
7/29/10- Received card in the 8:30am mail; made purchase at 11pm;
8/6/10- Postmark on the envelope containing the gift card! I am not sure when it arrived as I just got home today.

We leave for Disney at 6am on TUESDAY!!!8/17). I will have the $100 gift card and $110 on my rewards card. Seeing as we are using ME and have the DDP, I think I am in good shape for tips and sundries. We don't usually buy souvenirs so I am thinking just maybe I won't have to spend any real cash at all!!

Another update:

I originally signed up online (for a card in DH's name), received the card within a week, made a purchase and paid it off days later, and received the $100 GC days after that. So I signed up again, this time in my name. I received the card about a week later, and again was told that I'd get the $100 GC after my first purchase. I haven't paid it off yet, so haven't received the GC yet, but I'm sure it will happen.

My mom signed up, too, and she just got her card today. She's going to give us her gift card since she's not making the trip this time. :hug:

So between these three gift cards, and the $100 bonus for opening a Chase account, we will have $400 of free money to use on our trip! :woohoo:

We would love to get a Disney visa! My DH is a U.S. citizen but we live in Canada. He works in the U.S though. Does anyone know if we could get a card?

Wow, great idea! I originally signed up for only a $15 incentive, so I called Chase and told them I had seen better offers, some were $200. He basically said sorry, can't help you. Then I read your post and I sent an email to them, they wrote back in 2 days and put another $200 in my account for a total of $215!!! Since my husband is new cardholder also with the $100 incentive, we sent another email a couple days later under his name and account and they put $100 in his account too. Woo hoo $415!!!

another update: I paid off my card last week and received my $100 GC in the mail yesterday.

So for those wondering if you can open one account and be an authorized cardholder, then open an account in your own name - Yes. And both of you will get $100 GCs.

Now after reading that people are getting credits by writing to Chase, I'm tempted to try it.

Go for it! I got a response on each of my accounts in less than two days. There is no reason why someone elses business is more valuable than yours. They just had access to a different code or different link. Chase could have said no, but they didn't. I got an extra $100 each on our 2 cards.

I e-mailed and got another $100 credit and so did my daughter; the people at Chase couldn't have been nicer.

Thanks for your encouragement to try emailing Chase. It worked! I received an email today saying that I will be receiving a $100 credit on my next statement.

So now if I do the same for the accounts that my DH and Mom opened, that will be an additional $300 towards our trip! In total, we will have received $700 in free money from Chase. I'm lovin it! :woohoo:

That is awesome!!!

I signed DH up for the $100 offer a few weeks ago. We haven't received the gift card yet...I just sent my email to chase asking for the $200 instead!! :) Wish me luck! :wizard:

This worked exactly the same for me. I apllied online on a Sunday, received the card in the mail on Saturday, made my first purchase the same day, and one week later received my gift card in the mail!

Now I am trying to decide if I should email and ask for the extra $100 that some people are getting? For those of you that have done this, what did you say in your email.

I just said that I signed up recently for the $100 GC offer, but have since found out about the $200 offer and would like to know if they could extend the same offer to me.

They emailed the next day saying that my next staement would show a $100 credit! So you don't get an additional $100 GC, but your account will have a $100 credit toward future purchases.

Avonlady1001, you have to make a purchase on the card and pay it off. I think they will send you the card the day after your statement closes, as long as you have paid off the balance prior to closing. I received my GC right away because my closing date was just a couple of days from my purchase/payment date. My mom is still waiting for her GC because her closing date was at the end of the month.
