Thank you Target, for finally getting $100 GC. This will make paying for larger Disney purchases so much easier. Plus half the cards to carry around.
Is this in the stores? Or just at target.com?Thank you Target, for finally getting $100 GC. This will make paying for larger Disney purchases so much easier. Plus half the cards to carry around.
I ordered one yesterday online. The strange thing is, I tried to buy a $50 too since I had a Target GC for that much, but it kept trying to charge me tax on the $50 one so I didn't get it. (But not on the $100 one).
I have heard of people running into issues with the card not being activated from time to time which is a bigger headache with online purchases.
That's a great idea. Just out of curiosity, what do you do if you find out your card wasn't activated and you ordered it online? I know with the store cards I can just take them back in with the receipt.I've seen those reports too. I called the number on the back of the gift cards and entered the card numbers and security codes for each one to check the balance. While a bit time consuming it gave me peace of mind going into our vacation.
Personally I would have called target's customer service line with all my order information and gift cards on hand. Thankfully I didn't have to!That's a great idea. It's nice to get $5 off each time you buy a $100 card
If you order online and have the Red Card as your default payment, you still get the 5% discount but you can use any other credit card to actually pay, which is nice if you've got a rewards cc. I'm sorry, I don't know. Maybe they've changed it. I've never done it myself, but it's discussed quite often on the Budget Board that you can simply switch from your default red card to another card and you'll still get the discount. How exactly does this work? I have the red card set as default and added a $100 GC to my cart, went to checkout, entered info for a different rewards CC, and the $5 discount went away?
Do we first buy a Target $100 GC at full price with the rewards CC, then go online to purchase the Disney GC at discount using the Target GC as the final form of payment? (And just wind up with $5 left over on the target card...)
