Read about the couple that's been on 100 Disney cruises.
Go to Disneyexaminer.com
Or google 100 Disney cruises.
It was posted yesterday on disneyexaminer.com

That's my new goal in life lol

They are the second people I've seen mention getting gifts for the crew. How do these relationships get built? Do they just request the same service team every time? If you stay in the exact same room, is your host always the same (provided its within their 6 months on)? So far we haven't requested the same service team. We may after this one coming up. So far I've enjoyed having the different experiences with different servers.

We're taking 3 more on the Dream this year so I'm sure we'll start seeing familiar faces but I'm really curious how some others on the board are about this. We love DCL so I'd definitely like to continue to improve that experience.

how do you afford...14? What strategies do you use (we love it, but can't afford to go as often as we'd like...but maybe we're doing it wrong:).

there used to be a poster on the boards that had over 50 and was moving up pretty quickly. I forget what her name was but she lived in celebration so you knew she loved Disney. haven't seen her posting in years.

We happened to sail with them on their 50th cruise, it was announced at the Platinum / Gold reception. I guess with that many sailings you get lots of chances for on board booking.

I'm not the OP there but I can tell you how we're doing it is we live in the panhandle of Florida so no flights required. Right now due to our personal schedules we've only been on 3 night. We went on our first one September of last year, booked another for September of this year but we loved it so much we couldn't wait so we ended up taking one in January this year and now we have 2 more booked. So in less than 14 months we will have hit 5.

One thing my wife and I decided too was to stop spending money on "things" and save it to spend on "experiences". The memories are all we have when its all done.

I ended up making this last weekend to stick on my car lol

We just finished our 12th, and honestly I was bored to death. I think we have just done too many Disney cruises in too short a time,(12 in less than 4 1/2 years) and I need a change. Same shows, same ports, same food. I think I'm suffering from DCL burnout. I honestly don't think I could do it a hundred times. We are taking a break from Disney and doing a Med cruise on the new Carnival Vista. We'll come back to DCL in 2017 for a Panama or Baltics cruise if prices are reasonable. We had many issues on our last cruise that I won't even mention here because I would probably get flamed. I have met people that have done many DCL cruises and have cruised other lines, and they have liked them all. So I have to disagree with them on that one. They have never tried another line so probably shouldn't proclaim that DCL is the best. Kudos to them though they have given a lot of money to the mouse.

We met a couple on the Fantasy a couple of years ago that had been on 75 DCL cruises. The husband appears in the "Behind the Magic" special that aired on Destination America!

I can't even imagine taking that many DCL cruises. We love the DCL ships but we like to do other things with our vacations as well. And with 4 of us on the west coast, it costs us a fortune just traveling to Florida let alone the cost of the cruise.

Regarding "gifts" - do keep in mind that the crew share TINY quarters and do not have room for non-necessary things. Many gifts get donated to various charities and organizations.

Truly the best "gift" is listing their name on the comment card - and perhaps a follow-up letter or email to DCL management.

100 cruises at $4,000 per cruise... $400,000.00 That is an impressive travel budget just for cruising!!

Still working on it, but we are only at 10 going on 11. :) This will be our 5th cruise in 2016 and we broke our personal best record with that one. lol

LONG way to go to catch up to many of you much less the 100 plus folks. Oh well, have to have goals you know.

I know this was originally an older thread that got bumped recently but on my 5 night NYC/Canada cruise in October, there was a couple that was on #93 and #94. I thought it was interesting one of them missed one, lol :) We actually had over 500 (could have been 600) Gold and Platinum CC members on that sailing so we met in the WD Theatre for the get together. I'd say for sure, most were Gold CC members. Not sure it was mentioned somewhere else but Clayton acknowledged it was a lot of repeat cruisers and said something like, "I know you all sit around thinking of a new name for a new level so tell me what you think it should be". Many yelled Diamond, I heard Emerald and I yelled Titanium like many of us have shared here before and he said he really liked Titanium. I do believe those that have exceeded a certain amount do deserve another level for sure.

I'm on #15 next time (stared in 2012) and I can't say 100 is my goal as I know it's not reasonable but I say congrats to them and anyone else that can do that - you rock!
