100 Days to WDW....Accountability Journal

Journaling what you eat is a great way to keep track of your food. I still do that if I've been a little too naughty for an extended time. My worst time of the day is the afternoon. I try to have a healthy snack and then chew gum. It keeps my mouth occupies with something besides food!:rotfl2: Another thing that has worked well for me and my family is to spend an hour once a week planning out dinners. I write is down in my planner and then I can pull out what I need from the freezer the night before. It keeps us from doing last minute unhealthy dinners. I love that it is fall again. I do a lot of crock pot meals of healthy soups and stews. They are very filling, don't use as much meat and are loaded with veggies. We are super busy with football and soccer, so if I can get dinner done in the morning, we don't run out for fast food or cook a frozen pizza. My youngest doesn't like veggies so much, but he eats them when they are mixed in with things. You CAN DO IT!:thumbsup2 Keep us updated on your progress.:goodvibes

One of my friend's posted on FB last week that although it had taken him two years, he was finally down 20 pounds to his goal weight. That was very encouraging to me. For me this is becoming a daily "battle" of sorts. But I'm moving in the right direction. I'm down 5 pounds total this week. It's coming off slower than I want, but I have not "given up" which is really good. I'm proud of that fact.

Our whole family has been really stressed the last couple of weeks. It may be just adjusting to the changes brought about by my step-son's return home (he's 27) because it seems like all the issues started around then. He's in no way a problem--it just changes our routine and our life to have another adult in the house.

And so....I press on! Elliptical tonight after work. Walked the dog at the park this morning. Not sure yet what we are doing for dinner. Ate 1/2 of my lunch (good) but had tortilla chips (not good) with it. (LOVE California Tortilla).

Burning 3500 calories for each pound I need to lose...that sure puts it in perspective!
