Okay, this is a little complicated, I've been crunching the numbers on our upcoming trip (Mom, Dad, and 3 kids {12, 10, 8} for 7 days) and I will save some money with the Dining plan if I can have two kids plans with three adult plans.

So, it's my understanding that the rules are that a 10 year is an adult and gets charged the adult price for the dining plan.

But, when I go to the website and plug in all the info for our trip it says I can purchase the plus dining for $1571 extra.

I thought an adult was somewhere just a little over $60 a day and a kid was something like $20 a day on that plan. If those numbers are right it's allowing the 10 year old to be charged as a kid? I'm confused, can anyone tell me what they think is happening there?

I asked the website help and she said "9 and younger eat from kids menu, 10 and over eat from adult"? Seems like a weird answer. LOL

The 10 yo is being charged the adult price. The cost for the DDP for 2014 is $60.64/adult and $19.23/child. So for 6 nights, your total cost would be:

Adult - $60.64 x 4 = $242.56
Child - $19.23 x 1 = 19.23

Total = $261.79 x 6 nts. = $1570.74

The DDP goes by the number of nights you stay, not days. So if you are staying 6 nights/7 days, the $1571 is the correct cost with the 10 yo being charged the adult price.

Here is a link to the DDP prices for 2014:

Oh, your exactly right, 7 days but only 6 nights in the hotel.

Okay, so question #2, that's 6 sitdowns and 6 counters, if we save a couple counter meals until that 7th day in the park (the day we check out) can I still use them that last day?

Thanks

Yes :). Dining credits expire at midnight of the day you check out, so if you have credits left over, you can use them on your last day (your check out day).
