We are going to Disney Wed and staying at the Poly. In August we celebrated our 10 yr anniversary and this is the trip to celebrate it. Couldn't get there then so this is closet we could get. Wen to Dis for our honeymoon so we new we needed to go back for the big 10. Question is should I mention this at the hotel or don't bother? Do I need to fax a confirmation or anything? I want non-smoking so should I confirm ahead of time or wait?

Congratulations on your 10th anniversary!! :cheer2:

My wife and I stayed at POFQ for our 10th a few years back. When I made our reservations, I mentioned it. I guess it was noted on our reservations because one day in the middle of our stay, we returned to our room to a disney picture frame, a couple disney mugs, some really cute towel animals and a "note" from Mickey and Minnie telling us Happy Anniversary! We were really surprised!

Have a great time and many more years of happiness!!

I would call and request non-smoking and tell them you'll be celebrating your anniversary. Disney did the same for us, except card was from Pooh.

Congratulations!!!!! :Pinkbounc

Congratulations!! We stayed at Disney for our honeymoon too. AND this year is our ten year anniversary. Don't tell my wife but I have a trip planned on our anniversary. I'm not going to tell her until we get to the airport. I hope to mention it to the resort as well.

Not to rain on your parade....but don't be surprised if you don't get anything. We went for our 10th to the Poly and nothing special happened....but we went during DH's birthday and they sent a cake and card. :confused3

I definitely wouldnt mention it if its 9 month after the fact. If thats the case, every couple could say they are celebrating an anniversary (and every person a birthday) and it would take away from those who really are. Then again, Im a meanie and wouldnt let DS wear a birthday button 2 days after his birthday. To me thats just silly, but I know Im in the minority.

Lots of people do it and if you dont feel strange about it then go for it. :)

Congratulations on 10...well, almost 11 years! :goodvibes

Treat your self to a surprise for your DW or DH. Ask the WDW florist to send flowers and ask if they can be placed in your room when it's your anniversary.

I did this at the CR. When we came back from the park - my DH found red carantions (what I always give him) in a nice vase. The CR also added a nice certificate of congrats.
A great way to surprise your love of your life - before you go out to dinner to celebrate.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! And DEFINITELY mention it! It doesn't matter that it's not the EXACT week of your anniversary b/c it is still your celebration for it. Heck, DH and I got married in August but since I am still finishing classes in college (missed 2 years b/c of illness! ICK!) we had to delay our honeymoon until now. Were still honeymooners since we have not gone anywhere to celebrate out marriage yet so we told the CM's when we made our reservations. Have them note it on your reservation, call them though, don't fax. The CMs are now being instructed to disregard faxes and a friend of mine who works there said things like that are more likely to be noted if you are on the phone. If you fax something like that it tends to get trashed without getting noted.
