Just got back, 11/30 to 12/4 and we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge. This was our first stay and will not be our last, we loved this place. We had the car valet parked and bell service take our luggage for us. We checked in around 5 pm and there wasn’t a wait at the check in desk. We were in room 4073, over the lobby with a view of the pool, geyser, running river and a huge water view. There was no scaffolding obstructing our view but the day we were checking out they were starting to bring the scaffolding around to the inner section of the hotel. We never had to wait longer than 5 minutes for a bus. We spent a lot of time having a drink and sitting in the lobby.

The room was beautiful, the view was amazing, the bed was super comfortable, the pillows, sheets, blankets, towels were all soft and clean. The room had a very clean sweet smell to it. Huge flat screen new tv. There were flowers, balloons and a card for us (it was our 10 year anniversary).

DH had to finish up some work so I sat on the balcony and relaxed. When he was done we went to DTD and had dinner at WPE and shopped for Christmas gifts for our 2 nieces. It was a nice night, not warm at all and DTD wasn’t crowded.

The next morning was MK, we had a very early breakfast at CP and thought the crowds were very light and manageable. They had a show (for the parade taping) going on in front of the castle and there a lot of people there so I think that is why the park was not too congested. We left around 1 to go back to our hotel and relax. Lunch was a bite at Roaring Forks. We were supposed to go over to Grand Floridian Café for dinner before MVMCP but we were not hungry so we just went over to the GF to tour the grounds and relax a bit. I didn’t think the GF was busy either.

MVMCP was great! Low crowds, nice weather and perfect seats for the parade. The apple slices were nice for a change and the cocoa was delicious. The fireworks were amazing and seemed to go on forever. This is the first year I was able to convince DH to take a lot of pictures and I was lucky enough to get him in a picture with both Mickey and Minnie in their holiday best

On Saturday we had early breakfast reservations at Kona at the Poly, what a great breakfast. TYou should have seen the people waiting to get into MK for the parade taping, it was insane! It was 8 am and we were on the packed monorail headed to the Poly, the people were pouring off the buses, boats, monorail, it was chaos! The Poly was super busy, there were people everywhere! A quick jump on the monorail led us to Epcot. We were one of the first people there and walked right onto Soarin, got our fastpasses for another trip….by the time we got off the ride there was a 40 minute wait! Test Track was a walk on, so were a lot of the rides. We took it slow and had a great time. We walked over to BC/YC and checked out the decorations and Boardwalk…what a nice resort! Dinner was Le Cellier and the food was better than I could have imagined.

Sunday took us to Animal Kingdom and an early breakfast at Donald’s Breakfastorous. Glad to get in early because we hit EE right afterwards, 10 minute wait and we got fastpasses too! What an intense ride! 10 minute wait for the Safari, the baby elephant was playing with the bigger sister, it was so cute! I wanted to check out the Animal Kingdom Lodge so we hopped on the bus and headed over…I was not impressed…the smell hit me when I got off the bus…yuck…we are not planning on staying at this resort…just didn’t like it. The place was super busy, people everywhere.

Back on a bus to MGM, great weather, front row seats to the parade, first time we saw the MGM Christmas parade, it was wonderful! 10 minute wait for Tower of Terror, 10 minute wait for Rocking Rollercoaster. Dinner was at Mama Melrose, walk through the light show and the snow and head back to DTD for more shopping. What a mistake, the place was packed with people!

Monday was our departure day, late breakfast at 1900 Park Faire, the GF was super busy, people everywhere. We had a late check out at WL so we went back to the room to relax a bit before hitting the road.

We saw a two weddings at our resort, one at the Yacht Club and one at the Grand Floridian...I told DH that I would like to renew our vows there one year....

We would like to stay at the GF or Poly next but WL is a must for another trip!

Congratulations on your anniversary! Sounds like you had a wonderful trip. We love WL but also enjoy AKL. Next on our list is the Grand Floridian (I hope)! Thanks for posting - how were the crowds as the Osborne Lights? We saw them several years back and it was insane!

The crowds for Osborne Lights were not bad at all, we got out of Mama Melrose's around 6:20 and walked right into the main area...it was so beautiful!
