My wife suprised me with a quick 4 day trip to WDW for our 10th Anniv. She picked the resort, Cornado Springs, I pick where we have dinner for our Anniversary. I can't afford Victoria & Alberts, and I might be able to talk her into Yatchsman. Where would you go for the best meal? It has to be at a resort. We are not even going into the parks. We are open to any and all suggestions. Please help me.

Thanks

I think the most elegant place I've eaten at WDW is Artist's Point at Wilderness Lodge. The menu and food quality are excellent, it's upscale, and the atmosphere makes for a memorable experience. My parents and I dined there for Christmas Eve three years ago. The decor is still rustic, but completely different from the rest of the Lodge. Check into it!

Yachtsman would certainly be a good choice--as would Citricos, California Grill, Palio or Blue Zoo.

We are trying YSH for our 9th aniversary next week. After going over the menus, I narrowed it down to either that or Palio at the Swan, but YSH won out.
There are so many great places in the resorts its hard to decide.

ITA! The menu is eclectic and very good. My DW loves the free range chicken and I always order the cedar plank roasted salmon. Both are great! Finish off dinner with the berry cobbler.

Service is wonderful ... attentive without being intrusive. You may get a table by the window with a view of Bay Lake. It is a wonderful restaurant for a wonderful dinner.

I'm a big fan of the California Grill. We just went there for our 10th anniversary. The view of the fireworks was incredible. The food was amazing and much less than I expected. Prices for entrees ranged from about $20 - $35. Our bill with wine, appetizers, flatbread and desserts was $115. That's about what I pay to go out to a nice dinner at home. I expected much worse.

I would STRONGLY recommend the California Grill. This is a great place to dine! The food and service is excellent and the views are amazing!!

Here are some of the restaurants we've celebrated anniversaries at "outside" the Parks.

Artist's Point (WL)
Citrico's (GF)
Jikos (AKL)
Flying Fish (Boardwalk)
Palio (Swan)
California Grille (Con)
Victoria & Albert's (GF)

We found all of these to be outstaning with the exception of the California Grille, and this was probably just an off night. We will certainly give it another try. I don't think you could go wrong with any of these.

Have eaten at all of these and they are all very nice. Jiko is a personal favorite, as I think it has the best food and most interesting wine list on the property.

How about Pizzafari in the AK?

No ... wait ...

Naah. Maybe Shula's, if you're looking for a grown-up date spot. Actually, for some appropriate anniversary peace and quiet, the Swan/Dolphin stuff is off the beaten track.

I want someone to tell me about Blue Zoo one of these days, too.

We love Artist Point. We usually eat there for a "grown-up" meal every trip. My personal favorites are the smoked portabello mushroom soup and the berry cobbler. YUMMY!

The atmosphere is very nice, but not stuffy, the tables are spread out, and the service is very good.

Can't go wrong here, IMHO!!

Dreamfinder2,

The night that we were married we said that for our 10 year anniversary we would celebrate at Pizzafari, however, we are not going to the parks this time. So maybe we will have to settle for Artist Point, California Grill
