Until August 17, 2019, MPerks members can get a $5.00 store credit with the purchase of $50.00 worth of gift cards, which does include Disney cards, up to 10 rewards or $50.00 per Mperks account. Remember, that you can register every phone number in your house for an MPerks account. Being able to get thousands in Disney gift cards. Those Disney gift cards can be used for paying off your WDW package, room or purchasing tickets. Meaning you can get a 10% discount off your package even if you got a promo package. We save the extra 10% on our Bounce Back Free Dining package. That savings paid for our airline tickets. Meijer seems to do this 4 or 5 times per year. Usually, August, for returning college students. November/December for the holidays. May for Mother's day. June for Fathers Day.

Also - in case anyone was wondering (because I was) you can buy one $500 gift card and it will work for the whole $50 in rewards. I asked at my local Meijer and no one knew if you could do it all in one card or if you needed to do separate transactions. I tried it with just one $100 card to see and it worked, giving me 2 $5 rewards!

You can use more than one $5 reward at a time; ie if your bill is $50, you can use $50 in rewards.

Thanks, I bought 2 $50 cards today to test the deal and on my first transaction I also received a coupon for $5 off $50 on a future purchase. Glad to know I can buy larger amounts though.

Yes, it shows up in your mPerks account as separate $5 rewards but when you are checking out you should get the pop-up on the payment screen that asks you if you want to redeem $X reward on this transaction. I haven't spent these specific rewards yet but I know that I have had multiple total basket rewards in the past and redeemed them all in one go.

Meijer has done this promotion every 2-3 months for at least the last year. Both my DW and I have separate mperks accounts. Mine is only for this promotion. We each get a single $500 gift card and we each get 10 $5 rewards afterwards. We do have to do separate grocery trips for each person, but you can claim all 10 rewards on a single transaction of > $50. The mperks account is linked to your cell number. I have also used it to save 10% on a Lowes card, as I was headed over to buy a mower and on a Southwest gift card. It is limited to 10 rewards per mperks account for each promotion.

You have to actually get the reward before you see the expiration date. You can earn the reward through 8/17. In the past you have had 4-6 weeks from the closing date to use the reward. So I am expecting sometime in late Sept. Until I earn the reward and it is in your mperks account, I won't know for sure. The reward is usable right away. You do not have to wait until 8/17 to use it. It usually takes 1-2 hours after you buy the gift cards for the reward to show up in your mperks account.

And for an added bonus, if you use your Disney Credit card, you should get double points for it being a grocery store. Meaning $10.00 for each $500.00. For us, that's another $20 on the $1000 in gift card. Makes it a 12% discount!

No, there’s usually restrictions on it. We did it last year around Thanksgiving and that wasn’t allowed!
