The stress is on and I have a weird feeling I am forgetting something . . . Past Disney Brides, was there something that you may have forgotten last minute? Thanks to all in advance!

5 weeks to go until we fly out and only 6 weeks to go before the wedding.

I know exactly what you mean about the forgetting feeling. As we are travelling from the UK, we know we can't leave anything behind.....gifts for the family, clothes etc.

My WTB has left almost all of the "logistics" of the wedding in my apparently capable hands and believe me, the closer you get to the big day, the worse the feeling becomes ! Add into the mix the fact that we are staging a reception when we return which needs to be finalised before we leave.........here come the headaches and sleepless nights !!!!

Isn't paranoia a tedious thing ?

WOW! I feel like you are inside my head!!! I leave three weeks from this morning and am so totally overwhelmed and underwhelmed at the same time. I am trying to stay focused on my full-time job that I will be away from for two weeks (i'm an attorney), trying to finalize the reception here (which happens the night after we get back from HM), and make sure I have all the details finalized for down in Florida....it is making for countless sleepless nights!!!! I keep trying to focus on..."as long as me and my fdh and my father (the officiant) get down there, everything else will work its way out." :Pinkbounc :rotfl:  :earseek: :earboy2: :bounce: :hourglass

I have 12 weeks to go so I'm in a similar position to you. The only things that we still have to do are: get our marriage license (we're doing it by mail in September), get presents for my parents, pay for the honeymoon and for our Grand Floridian reservation, buy jewelry for my maid of honor, figure out what we want the ceremony to be like, and MOST IMPORTANTLY (lol).....LOSE 10 MORE POUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M SO SICK OF WEIGHT WATCHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!

Hmm, I think that's it. I've gotta think about it some more to make sure I'm not forgetting anything now!

Things I remembered to do last minute:

Tip envelopes - rather than just hand out money to people I made pretty little envelopes to say thanks with some cash in.

Gifts - we were coming in from the UK too so to save luggage space we decided to get eveyone gifts when we got to Disney itself .

Spa Bookings - a much needed massage, I booked in for 2 days before the wedding - it really did the trick.

Printed off Programs

Final Newsletter - to be put in our guests welcome bags with all of our contact details and what to do should it rain as we were getting married at the outside location of the YCG

Bridal Bag - Put together a bag for me for the day - with necessary supplies in ;)

Gift for Wedding Co-ordinator, EM, CM or whatever they're calling themselves these days ;)

If I think of anymore stuff I'll add it here :)

How exciting for you all :Pinkbounc

I'm feeling the same "anxiety"!!! Trying to think of things to pack, still need to get my dress altered, still have to buy something for DH2B to wear for the ceremony...the rings should be in today or tomorrow (this is the THIRD set we've tried, good thing we started early)...I don't even know what I forgot, and I know there's stuff I don't even know yet...STRESS!!!

Hmmmm let reminisce for a moment when we were all about :hourglass 10 months out and so calm and excited! LOL :rotfl: Now it's crunch time and the stress is on!

I miss real food too!!

I knew returning to this thread would make it all worse !!!

You are all reminding me of things that I hadn't even thought about.... Aaaarrrggghhhh.

Being British, I hadn't even considered tipping. Who are we expected to tip ? How much ??? Help !!!

(Although I do like the idea of the envelopes).

A little over 4 weeks left before we depart and I am sort of getting to the stage where I have started to decide to call it a day with what hasn't been planned and ensure that what has been booked is all correct and in place.

I feel that 4 weeks is too close to add any extras that we hadn't thought about, so now just need to start focusing on making sure that we take all our gifts and fancy bits with us and that the suitcases are properly packed.

It is a bit weird but I am dreading coming home and the whole thing being over. As someone already pointed out on this thread, it is very distracting from the day-job (typing this from the office !). I can honestly say that I have enjoyed the whole process an enormous amount but worry what life will be like once all is said and done.

I am going to make sure that my wonderful bride has the day of her life, but I will also be certain to make the effort to ensure I take everything in that is going on around us. Easily said, and I know it will become a blur, but need to keep that in mind !

Come on team, lets all pull together and stay focused ! Thats where this forum has been priceless. We are all going through a wonderful time in our lives and it really is a joy to share it with people who totally understand and feel the same !

Anyone going to be in Orlando between 12th Sept and 26th Sept ?

We are!

We arrive in Orlando on Sept. 19 and we are having our ceremony on Sept. 20. We will come back to reality (i.e. home) on Sept. 23!

Where is your ceremony? And what day? I think it would be cool to "just happen to walk by" while someone else is getting married there! :)

You would need to be very quick, it's on the 19th at the Pavilion, with reception at the Grand Floridian and a meal at the Victoria and Albert. We will be ending our special day at Pleasure Island and should be easy to spot as we will almost certainly be wearing the wedding ears !!

You're right about having to be quick! Well, we may not see you on the 19th, but I'm guessing we might see you around that week (can't miss the ears! LOL!). I'm making ears for us so ours will be just a bit different!

We will look out for you !! Give us a wave if you see us first.

Best of luck.
Russ.

If so! We will be there at 10am!! So walk by and say HI!! ummmm of course if we are in the middle of you know like the actual ceremony ummm you might have to wait around to say HI :p

the only things that we did last minute were get the marriage license and get a gift for our EM. that's off the top of my head right now. i'll try to remember other things if i can.

Hey, we are going out for a planning trip on the 17th Sept. We are staying in the Boardwalk area and are hoping to get married next year at sea breeze point or yacht club gazebo. What time is your ceremony?

We are tying the knot at 2pm at the Pavilion on the 19th Sept. Feel free to "happen to be passing" around that time !!

3 weeks to go before the big silver bird delivers us to Orlando !!!
4 weeks to the day until our wedding.....Here come the nerves !!

We are going to be staying at the Boardwalk Sept. 19-23. We will be getting married at 11 am on Sept. 20 at Sea Breeze Point...definitely "pass by" then if you can! :)

Well I'm not in your exact situation, but I ALWAYS forget to book my doggs a room at the vet until the day before I"m leaving. :dog2:
