10 Gallon Challenge at Whispering Canyon Cafe?

Is the 10 Gallon Challenge still being served at Whispering Canyon and do you get to keep the plastic cowboy hat for a souvenir unlike the sink at Beaches and Cream?

We would really like to try this-would it be okay to make and ADR just for desert and would my Disney Visa discount still apply for desert only?

Whispering Canyon is a pretty easy walk in during the day so not sure you need an ADR if just going to try the 10 Gallon Challenge. It was a trial dessert when we were there so not sure if it still is available.

I think my post may have been confusing...I said unlike the Kitchen Sink--my kids were so disappointed when we didn't have a vacation memory to being home after stuffing ourselves on the Kitchen Sink The cowboy hat looks plastic so I was wondering if you are able to keep it. I saw that it was a trial desert but also saw it on the most recent menus for WCC at various Disney related websites so I figured the Did boards was the place to ask!!

According to reviews on the Disney Food blog and wdwnt they weren't able to keep the hat.
