I always forget about this little perk! There are some restaurants like Flying Fish, Captain Grille, etc (mostly RESORT restaurants) that offer 10 percent discount with Disney visa.

Question is do you have to tell your server to give you the discount or does it show up automatically on your statement?

You tell your sever when you order as they take 10% off your bill right then. We used it in Nov at Trails End :thumbsup2

Is there a list of the participating restaurants?

yes on the credit card welcome brochure. I remember Olivias, Flying Fish, Captains Grille......There were definitely others!

You have to ask for it. It will not be automatic. And you will have to pay using the Disney Visa. You cannot just show the card or charge the meal to your room. Make sure that you pay attention to any restrictions such as the time of day, day of week or seasonal blackouts.

From the Disney Visa Vacation Perks Page:
8. Offer excludes alcoholic beverages, merchandise, tobacco, room service, holiday buffets, tax and gratuity. Must use your valid Disney Visa Card and/or Disney Rewards Redemption Card at time of purchase. Discount valid at the following restaurant locations: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge: Boma, Jiko (see restrictions), and Sanaa; Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort: ESPN Sports Club, Flying Fish Cafe (see restrictions) and Kouzzina by Cat Cora; Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort: Shutters at Old Port Royale; Disney’s Contemporary Resort: The Wave; Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground: Trail’s End Restaurant; Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort: Citricos (see restrictions) and Grand Floridian Cafe; Disney’s Old Key West Resort: Olivia’s Cafe; Disney’s Port Orleans Resort: Boatwright’s Dining Hall; Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa: The Turf Club Bar and Grill; Disney’s Wilderness Lodge: Artist Point (see restrictions) and Whispering Canyon Cafe; Disney’s Yacht Club Resort: Captain’s Grille; Disney’s Hollywood Studios®: The Hollywood Brown Derby (see restrictions) and Hollywood & Vine (see restrictions); Epcot®: Biergarten Restaurant (see restrictions). For locations where it is noted to see restrictions, the discount does not apply to the following dates: 11/28/13, 12/24/13, 12/25/13, 12/31/13, 1/1/14, 2/14/14, 3/20/14, 5/11/14 and 7/4/14. Subject to restaurant operating hours and closures. Restaurant seating is subject to availability.
It repeatedly states "see restrictions" but I couldn't find a link to the specific "restrictions" they are referring to, other than the blackout dates.

hmmm, not so sure. When we went to Flying fish, we asked and the server said NO. ????

Can you get the Disney Visa discount and the TIW discount?
Nope. You can't stack discounts. TiW is a better deal. Fewer restrictions, bigger discount. Some people don't like the automatic 18% gratuity, but I tip more than that anyway.

We were at The Wave last week and I forgot our TIW card. The server said we had the same discount with Disney Visa. I was happy!

Yes, the restaurant discount is a nice perk. I had forgotten about it, but luckily I had a nice server at The Wave who saw I was paying with my Disney Visa and applied the discount for me.

Not the same.

Disney Visa - 10%,
TiW - 20%
