Different reports on whether you can get 10% discount on both cruise(B2B) if booked on board.

Any resent reports?

Thinking about changing our 7 day to B2B and enjoy CC twice as much.

PS and save almost $900 if we get both cruises discounted.

My understanding is that a B2B is the only exception to the "one cruise" rule for OBBs. However, I believe you must actually book both legs of the B2B while onboard -- an OBB for one date can't be changed to cover both legs (though it can be moved to one leg).

Enjoy your cruises!

Thank you.

Yes we plan on booking both next month.

Our current 7 day doesn't have a discount because of the old 18 month rule.

Anyone else with recent experience?

Both legs of the B2B will need to be done onboard. If you move either one of the B2B cruises you will lose the benefits on it.

I don't think you can change your current reservation to an OBB. I think the answer is no and you have to rebook onboard, but they can move the deposit to the new reservation. Someone will post with an answer.

We recently booked at B2B while on board and got the 10% on both. They said the reason was because you were able to book 2 rooms on the same cruise or 1 room on each of a back to back.

Not sure if this was supposed to be allowed or not but it worked out for us.

Good luck.

That's how the policy is written out in the DCL information. :) There shouldn't be an issue with it. Many have reported here that they have in fact been able to move one of the dates for an OBB B2B to a different cruise date and retained all the OBB benefits. That's not the way it's supposed to work, but it has.

How about if you book a B2B while on board and then move the B2B to a later date? We are hoping to book a B2B and the dates aren't released yet, so we'd book and then move the booking when the dates are released. (It's for April of 2017 and we sail this May, so the dates could be released by then, but if not, we're wondering how it'll work.)

TIA

I dont remember the amount of months but onboard bookings must be used in that time frame. Looks like you are wanting to move it out almost 2 years and I am sure that is after the allowed time.

We'd definitely be within the 24 month time period. We're sailing in May of 2015 and want to do the B2B in April of 2017, so almost the whole allotment, but not past.

we recently book an on board b2b and received the 10% discounts as well as the room credit on both. there was no issues doing this at all.
our b2b were 2 7nights but it does work the same for the 3/4 b2b.

enjoy your cruise.

We are doing a B2B2B on the Magic in December and all three were OBBings, each done seperately. We had one from a previous cruise and when we booked the second two, we were on the Fantasy last November, DH booked one and I booked the other one. TA moved them and no problem.

We booked B2B last December on the Magic and we got 10% on both. We booked 3/4 night and got on board credit on board. The only difference was the we had to pay 20% deposit rather than 10% because the cruises were less than 7 nights.

Thank you all for your answers!

While not a huge amount of money we should save $400.00 with 10% discount on both cruises plus the on board credits and DU OB.

Should put us over $1,000.00 in savings from the 7 night that we had nothing but $50 DCC.

We were on the Tortola and St John's and it just doesn't looked good for us or DD(8 at that time).

Thank you again!
