10 Days - Too Long?

Doing 14 days in May. Longest we had ever gone was 7 before. I cant wait. I think it will be less stressful.

When you consider you lose 2 day for traveling it sounds just right. We usually do 8-10 days, and find the more time you stay the less stressful it is. Plus you get to do different things that you usually don't have time for on a short stay. We love a day at the water parks and a day at DTD.

14 nights is what I like, maybe due to the 8 hour flight from the UK. Longest I have done is 21 night a bit long that.

Too long for our family. We did a nine night trip a couple years back and we were ready to come home. A week is good for us, but we can even do 4-5 days and have plenty of time.

I think 10 days will be great for your family. It gives you time to rest and move at your child's pace without feeling like you're missing out on precious time.

Our typical trip is between 14-18 days, but with only 8 park days. ((We use Y.E.S. tickets, 8 day hoppers with 8 extras)) Our January 13 trip will be 14 days, with 8 main park days and 4 days that will be half days at DisneyQuest, Waterparks, or resorts.

I'm not sure how long is too long, but I haven't hit it yet. We've done 2 full weeks a couple of times and still wished we had a few more days!

I havent done a trip where it was too long either! Our longest was a 10 day trip...so far. It was great. I love having a full 8 days in the parks. I would love to do a 2 week trip, but we go in the "off" times and I cant pull the kids out for 2 weeks of school:eek:...one is their limit. If I could stomach the summer heat then we would try a 2 weeker, but I prefer the less humid times:goodvibes
I think 10 days will be the perfect trip with a 3 yr old...Have FUN:goodvibes

I don't think I could ever wrap my head around the idea of a trip being too long:lmao:

while sometimes I crave cooking my own food in my own kitchen, I would gladly continue eating at WDW if it meant staying longer :lovestruc

We are leaving in a week for 9 days in WDW and I am sad that there is no possibility of extending the trip

Its definitely not too long. We did 14 days for our first trip and are going to do the same for this trip. It allows us time to do everything we want to do without feeling rushed. We will get to see all the parks at least twice plus water parks and still have 4 or 5 days at the hotel to enjoy the pool and activities offered by AK staff. I just always wish I didn't have to come back to reality :)

Enjoy your trip to the most magical place on earth!

Our favorite length is 12 day with 11 night which give us 10 full days and 2 travel days. This year because of flights we are going for 13 days. It's embarassing, we don't tell many of our friends because they think we are crazy for going almost every year anyway.

10 full days give us 2 mornings in each park and 2 mornings at the water park plus evening fun.

We've never had 10 nights alone just at Disney. However, we had 12 nights total between a night down, two nights at relatives and the rest at Universal/Disney. We found that 12 nights was slightly too long for our middle child - who was 3.5 that trip. Our next trip had 10 nights, with 2 nights visiting relatives and the rest at Disney/Universal. That was perfect. Our kids ages that trip were 2.5, 5, and 8.

*Our 12 nights trip included 3 different hotels and sleeping at my parents - so 4 different places. I think that was likely park of our problem! Our 10 night trip included 3 different hotels and actually was fine. If we were to stay at just one hotel or even just two, it would have likely been easier. Our next trip will be 10-11 nights total but we're sticking to two hotels this time. (My parents live a couple of hours away so it's impossible to just do one hotel).

We’re doing 10 days. I have 8 park days scheduled. I have a rest day planned for day 6 and our 10th day is essentially preparation for departure and travel home, I booked a 3pm flight so Magical Express doesn’t come until noon.

I understand. I have never been on a vacation longer than 7 days and neither have my children. My daughter will be 9 and my son will be just under 2.5. I think with us, we’ll need the down time. I don’t want to come back here worn out. We are also staying at WL just in June (21st – 30th). I got a military discount and might not ever get to stay there again and I want to spend some time enjoying the place.

Some of our park days will be half days touring. First day we’ll go over to MK around 4:00. On four other days I have us going to rope drop and returning to the resort by 2 and spending the rest of the day there combining nap, pool, craft time, dinner and kids club one night for dd. One other day is a non-park day where we hang at the resort, play in the pool, on the sand by the lake and rest until we go out for dinner. Just 2 days have morning touring with a break in the middle then evening touring. On our World Showcase day we’ll sleep in and hit the park around 10 to do the character spot and head into World Showcase when it opens and hit the kid-cot fun stops until our dinner ADR.

We have the regular dining plan so I planned character meals to avoid standing in line as much as possible. We are super excited about having this many days.

Not to mention this is likely our last trip with dd as a Disney Child and ds getting in free. Jan 2013, he turns 3. April 2013 she turns 10.

I think 10 days is the perfect :woohoo:time also. You can do the parks and have some time to be laid back and enjoy the amenities your resort has to offer. I have stayed longer and that is great too! I am spoiled and feel like less than ten days is rushed!:rotfl2:
