DH and I were at Disney for 10 days, just the 2 of us! We stayed at BCV and were not on the dining plan. On to the reviews!

Wednesday 3/12 Once we were checked in and put our bags in our room, we went over to the Boardwalk to grab a bite about 8:30. I got a turkey sandwich from the Boardwalk Bakery and my husband got a foot long from the Boardwalk Hot Dog Cart. Both were fine and we were able to look around and enjoy the entertainment and shops before catching Illuminations from the bridge.

Thursday 3/13 For lunch we had a reservation for Beaches & Cream at 11:20. We were seated immediately. We ordered the bacon angus burger to split. The bleu cheese was very strong, but once we took it off, the burger was much better.

Dinner was at Via Napoli for 6:20. We arrived a few minutes early and were seated after about a 5 minute wait. We started with the salad which was very good. I loved the olives and my husband got the mushrooms. We ordered a large pizza with pepperoni, mushroom, and spicy Italian sausage. It was a monster! But we managed to eat most of it. VERY good and service was great!

Friday 3/14 Today we ate at Liberty Tree Tavern for the first time. Our time was 12:25, but we arrived a few minutes early and were seated right away. I ordered the New England pot roast and my husband had the Pilgrims’ Feast. Both were very good. It took our waitress a few minutes at the beginning and the end to get to us, but food was brought out very quickly. We’ll probably go here again.

We didn’t make any dinner plans and just decided to go on the fly. We decided on Cosmic Ray’s since we were in the area when we got hungry. We got a turkey sandwich with fries to share. It was plenty of food and a good sandwich. No complaints.

Saturday 3/15 For lunch we grabbed a turkey sandwich from Sunshine Season’s that we shared. I love the focaccia bread and chipotle mayo it’s served with.

Dinner was at Yachtsman’s Steakhouse for 6:10. Again we were about 10 minutes early and waited about 5 for a table. I ordered the filet mignon and my husband got the ribeye. He substituted a baked potato. Both were wonderful along with the service. Our waitress was very friendly.

Sunday 3/16 Originally we were going to spend the morning at the studios, but Monday was supposed to be rainy so we went to Typhoon Lagoon instead. For lunch we shared a chicken Caesar salad from Leaning Palms. It was very, very good! I was quite surprised. Of course we also had some of the sugar donuts….to die for!

We went to the studios that evening and ate at Mama Melrose for the first time. Our ADR was 6:15 and we were seated just a few minutes later. DH and I shared the mixed green salad and chicken campanelle. Both were fine, nothing spectacular.

Monday 3/17 It rained, just like predicted, but we managed to get around World Showcase before it got bad. I had the gnocchi parisien a la provencal from the Fleur de Lys booth. It was good, something new for me. We tried the Frushi from the Hanami booth and it was good, very interesting. Lastly, I got the three cheese manicotti from the Primavera Kitchen in Italy, it was average, nothing too special. Hubby got a bratwurst from Sommerfest with some potato salad. He loved both.

Tonight we went to Whispering Canyons Café. ADR was for 6:50 and we were seated immediately. We really enjoy eating here. Just being the 2 of us, we weren’t too concerned about being in the middle of all the action. We got the table in front of the fireplace. It was perfect on that rainy day! We did the meal full justice. We started with the sausage, pulled pork and ribs. All were very good. On our second helping we tried the beef strip loin as well and it was very tasty. Love the cornbread, but disappointed they didn’t have sweet tea!

Tuesday 3/18 We actually did the Cape May Character Breakfast before heading out to Blizzard Beach. All the food was very good and my husband discovered waffles with whipped cream are amazing.

Went to Blizzard Beach but didn’t have a meal, just more of those sinful donuts.

We tried Boatwrights for the first time tonight. I got the French Onion Soup that was wonderful, so flavorful. DH got the jambalaya and was a little disappointed that the temperature was not hot enough. I am very happy to report that they do serve sweet tea here!

Wednesday 3/19 We had a funnel cake before leaving the Magic Kingdom, so for lunch we just shared a chicken Caesar salad from the Beach Club Marketplace.

Dinner was at Kona Café. It’s probably been about 10 years since we had eaten here. Reservation was for 6:30 and we waited about 10 minutes. I ordered the pot stickers and Hubby had the Teriyaki steak. Both were so good! The pot stickers were especially tasty.

Thursday 3/20 We took the Undiscovered Future World tour, so we had about 15 minutes to grab something to eat from Sunshine Season’s during a break. We shared the breakfast platter and berry pudding. We were shoving the food down so quickly, I don’t remember too much about it. It was all good, no complaints.

Tonight we went back to Via Napoli. We got the salad again, but got the individual pizza with the same toppings. It was so good again!

Friday 3/21 Back to Typhoon Lagoon for our last day. We shared the island burger from Leaning Palms, but wasn’t a fan of the big slice of pineapple, once we took it off, we enjoyed it. And of course, more donuts.

We were planning to grab some food around World Showcase between Flower Power concerts, but as we walked by Italy, the line for Via Napoli wasn’t too long, so we went standby. It took about 15 minutes to get a table. This time we passed on the salad and got a large pizza with the usual toppings. Again, no complaints, I could eat here once a week!

Let me know if you have any questions!
