I was just curious as to how much people bring to disney between food and everything... I have money saved up but I was just wondering what the norm is for everybody..

We take some cash, for smaller purchases, but charge most expenses while there.

We just did 10 total days between Universal, 4 night cruise and Disney. Spent 200 at Universal for 2 nights (food), on boat spent $250 on tips, $100 in misc and at Disney spent $100 however; I did buy the dining plan for $450.00. In addition, $60.00 in checked bag fees total.

I generally plan $35 - $50 per person per day for meals. But I generally only bring $10 per day cash, everything else goes on a credit card, that is in turn paid of upon return.

I like to have no less than $100 a day if meals have already been paid for and closer to $150 per day if they aren't. This money is tips for food, tips for bags, souvinears and anything extra. I try to plan not to spend it all but it's an amount that is comfortable and I know I shouldn't have to exceed. Oh and it's for myself and my DD6 and DD2.

I was wondering so I can have at least an idea of how much to bring for the 5 days... for a family of 5 3 adults and 2 children age 3.. My eldest daughter will have her own money to spend so I am not worried about her except for when we all eat together I don't expect her to pay then..

If you plan to do a sit down meal you will most likely drop an easy $125-150 per sit down meal. If you are doing counter service meals I'd say you'd drop around $50-60 per meal. Snacks will run you around $4-6 per person. I figure a sit down for an adult will run around $35-40 (meal, drink and app or dessert..unless you are eating a steak then more $$), a kids sit down meal is usually around $10 (kids meal, drink and dessert). A quick service adult meal around $12 for meal and drink and kids meals are typically $5 for meal and drink. You can actually take a look at menu prices for sit downs and quick service locations at allears.net to see what current prices are: http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm

Hope this helps and have fun!
