Basically Im aware that for past trips we've done, we were able to book our ADR's 90 days out. And at 90 days out we had our trip officially booked, paid for etc.

Now this year, we plan on going Nov.28 to Dec.12.

So our 180 day out ADR booking time is June.1

Unfortunately I know for a fact we won't have "officially" booked our stay at WDW by or on Jun.1.

So my question is this: If were not in the system for an official trip, when we phone to make our ADR's, will be able to book for the duration of our trip or the +10 days?

Thanks in advance. I looked everywhere for an answer to this but nothing seems to address this issue. DW is convinced that we dont need to be in the system...but well...yeah. I felt the need to confirm her thoughts. :rolleyes1

No, you shouldn't be (discounting a possible glitch in the online system). The 180+10 is only available to those guests with a confirmed resort reservation. If you do not yet have a resort reservation, there's no way the system would know if you are an on-site or off-site guest.

You can try with the online system, and it may let you anyway, but officially you need an on-site reservation to book 180+10

You will have to book each day, to make the ADRs for the date 180 days out from the date you are booking. It's the 'old-fashioned' way. But there are plenty of people that still have to do it that way. When I stay at the S/D, I have to make ADRs day by day.
The 180+10 perk is for those with existing resort reservations. In order to be allowed to book those first 10 days of your stay, you have to plug in a reservation number. Otherwise it allows you only to book each day...at that 180 day mark.

Thanks for the quick responses!

Thats pretty much what I figured the case would be.

DW still doesnt believe me, but I guess she can find that out the hard way when she has to wake up every morning for two weeks straight to make our ADRs lol!

Thanks again!
