When I booked my holiday with Virgin I also ordered 10 day world passes...I booked my holiday January last year. Now that there are new Disney tickets introduced I wonder if they will still be able to issue the 10 day world pass for Disney. Does anyone have any ideas?????

I doubt you'll get the 10 day tickets.

I would phone Virgin and ask what the situation is

Hats off to Virgin. I phoned them and asked about the 10 day world pass ticket and they said that they were still issuing them, but if I wanted they would change them to the 14 day ultimate pass and refund the difference to me. The girl said that they did not have to do this but this was one of the things they were willing to do as part of their customer service. WELL DONE VIRGIN!!!!!

What is the difference between the ultimate 14 day and the 10 day? (Why is the 14 day cheaper is what I'm getting at I think).

We booked ours last autumn with Thomas Cook and when I phoned to check I was told there'd be no problem with the tickets because they were already bought and paid for.

But if there's something better on offer I'd like to know! (mind you, 2 week holiday, 10 days Disney, 3 days Universal plus one day Kennedy doesn't actually give me any empty days!!!

To re-quote a previous post of mine:

"We approached Virgin on the very same issue..... we had booked many months ago including WDW tickets.

Great to report that they agreed to change 7 Day Park Hopper Plus tickets for new (UK only) 21 day Ultimates and do it without any admin fee (usually £20 per head) AND they refunded the difference between brochure price from when we booked (£203 per ticket) and new prices (£195 each).

"Heads up" for Virgin!!!"

As I understand it, the old 10 day tickets could be carried over to another holiday if there were any unused days, whereas the new 14 day tickets are valid for 14 consecutive days from the first day of use.

Travel City Direct are currently selling the 14 day tickets for £154 (adult price) and £134 (child) for 2005.

Actually I think it was the 3, 5 and 7 day tickets which could be carried over. The 10-day expires within 21 days of first use, and the "ultimate" was for length of stay only.

As the 10-day includes a character breakfast and parkhopper options are there any advantages in changing it for a "Magic your way" ticket? We don't need 14 days-worth of Disney admission as we also have 3 days of Universal.

Getting very close now! :hourglass

MazdaUK,

You may be right about the 10 day tickets.

However, the new 14 day tickets do have the park hopper facility.

I would only change the tickets if it was cheaper to do so. As you say, you won't need 14 days of Disney as there will be other things to do (Universal etc).
