I am so desperate to go to WDW.

And seeing as my bfs family booked a 'surprise' centre parcs trip for a big group of us for Februaury, meaning I wont get back to DLRP for at leat another year.....I'm desperate to get a Disney fix from somewhere.

As some of you may know I'm off to vegas next September. And as we'll only be there 4 or 5 days I'm thinking of extending it to a fortnight long 2-centre break.

My questions is:

Will 9 or 10 days be enough time for 2 WDW virgins? (I haven't been in 15 years since I was 7! So I may as well be one!) Will we have to completely sacrifice visits to US and Seaworld?

We are planning a 17 day trip for 2010, but I think this will be cancelled to pay for our wedding (the one thing I don't mind missing Mickey for!) and then it could be years till we can Disney again.

If you plan your holiday well 10 days will be enough to see most of the attractions Orlando has to offer.

It's important to do the parks at a leisurely pace, so if you are thinking of seeing absolutely everything I doubt you could.

Personally enjoy Universal and Sea World every bit as much as WDW, so it may be a good idea gathering information on the parks that are 'must do's

We did an 11 day stay at Orlando (then over to coast) with 2 kids, so I think for 2 adults you'll be fine. We did IOA, US & SW too. That'll be a total of 7 parks, so even if you figure in 'rest days' you should be OK

I think that you would need to scarifice something even with Sept being fairly quiet:- MK,Ep,HS,AK,TL,BB,US,IOA & SW only leaves you one day & you would be dead on your feet! From a personal stand point we would always go to US & SW,AK I would hop to & do Lion King,ITTBAB & EE & the rest of the park I could quite happily leave. From a money standpoint 10 days costs as much as 14 passes wise but you would obviously save on food & accom.

Thanks for all your help so far guys!

I'd love to make it a longer trip - sadly my holiday time off work is what is limiting me! :( Centre Parcs is taking 5 days I hadn;t planned for!!

I'll be staying on site at WDW - are there EMH in September?

Torsie (Center Parcs!) yes there is EMH in Sept,if you have a look on WDW main site they list both Morning & Evening EMH-the standard advice is to avoid the park with morning EMH as it's likely to be the busier of the 4.The only real downside to Sept is that things like Spectro & soon to be Fantasmic are only on on certain nights but we always manage to catch these with a bit of careful planning!

We did 10 days a couple of Christmas's ago and managed to fit everything in with no problems. It depends on how much 'rest' time you want. As Johnny said it's worth doing your homework before hand to decide what you definitely 'must do'. Personally if I had to sacrifice anything it would be Seaworld. It's very nice, but for me lacks the wow factor of the others :)

Cool, thanks for the advice. I think I'd rather miss out of IoA as opposed to SeaWorld, just because I love animals and I'm getting less and less keen on big rides!

Been looking at the opening times and EMHs for this September and it looks as if 10 days would be plenty of time! If we're smart with EMH's every day could include some relaxation as well as a theme park trip or two!!

:goodvibes

It's definitely a good idea to try and plan a couple of rest days, theme parks day after day will prove very tiring.

One thing perhaps worth a mention is Universal Studios and Islands Of Adventure are side by side so it's feasible to do them both in one day - they are literally walking distance apart.

Me and OH are doing a 10 night trip in 28! days time. The only thing we arent doing is Busch Gardens and that is only because we cant be bothered with the trip over to Tampa rather than running out of time! we were actually struggling to fill a couple of the days (we are restless and not too keen on total rest days!) i think its prefectly 'doable'

Hiya -
We did it in April with 2 kids (5 and 7) - and visited Busch Gardens too - and had to do it in 9 days since it snowed (Gatwick - not Orlando strangely enough!!) and our flight was delayed 24 hours.

Most days we started late and stayed late(against all the advice I know...) - only place I wish we had spent another day , or started earlier was Epcot... BUT - we took it easy , didn't do EVERY ride in EVERY park...., had a villa and car and preplanned the rides and shows we wanted to do (didn't stick to it rigidly though....). We used fast pass at Disney and ExpressPlus pass at Universal which made our days MUCH easier.... see trippie in sig for how we fit it all in ..about page 3 onwards....

Only place regretted going was Seaworld on a busy, very hot, Saturday - our plan was to chill out that day but *** of the delay we wanted to fit it in somewhere -loved the park + shows, hated the heat/crowds/hurriedness of it.... Didn't do waterparks - not our thing and had a pool anyhow - which we did enjoy a lot.....

Cool! I'm really glad you guys all think it's do-able, I think I've 99% convinced my OH!!

I'd rather have a lovely time and see and do lots of stuff than knacker myself and come home feeling like a need a holiday having seen everything loads!

As long as I see the castle, parades and fireworks, I'd come away more than happy! Jack really wants to go on Expedition Everest, and we both love BTM. I'd also like a day at Discovery Cove, but I'm hoping that would feel quite resful compared to WDW days.
